Why is Season 7 hated soo much?

Yeah mariah, I agree, we might not like the S7 coz it's the end.

But apart that, I think S7 is way better than S6 !!! Of course this stuff with all potential is a bit boring sometimes, but the bad guy is really good, i mean, it's a powerful one, smart kinda, & it worked well for the end of the show.
Most of character were back, kinda, dru, the mayor, the master, Joyce, Angel Tara would have if there weren't money issues.
I mean, it's really so well done don't u think ? In one season, we can remind the 6 others.
+, Joss really ended this show well, I mean, he opened Buffy's world creating Sunnydale, he deeps us into this world for 7 years, & closed this by destroying Sunnydale ! How could he find a best way ?
So, I'm astounded by Joss work on this season, & even if I wish it wasn't the end, Joss make it well.
That's my point. Period :-D

Out of 22 episode's I say there is about 8 quality one's, the rest are not that special!

Yup Lilah... out of the 22 I liked Lessons, CwDP, Selfless (whatever) Him, Stoyteller, Lies My Parents Told Me, Dirrty Girls, Chosen. That is sad...

There's some really good episodes that delve into the characters, which was great, but most of the episodes, I just didn't care for. The best episodes mostly had part I didn't like, too. Such as "Beneath You." They went on and on about Buffy and Spike; Xander and Anya, it was so annoying, but I like the ending. Too many uninteresting storylines and characters for S7.

I hated that Buffy was sort of left on her own to deal with Spike, Wood, and Giles, while Willow was trying to stay away from Kennedy. I don't like Kennedy. The core Scoobies were split up on their own to deal with their own issues, which was a great idea, but, again, there are some uninteresting characters.

Actually, Amber wouldn't come back because she wanted Tara to rest in peace, so to speak. She felt it would be rather insensitive to all the diehard Tara and/or Tara/Willow fans to have Tara return as evil (even if it was the First).

Buffy left on her own to deal with Spike, Wood and Giles? Willow trying to stay away from Kennedy? What exactly do you mean by all of this?

Anyway, I, for one, enjoyed Season 7. I especially enjoyed how the characters continued their journey into adulthood - especially Buffy. But I especially enjoyed the season's main theme, which was basically about empowerment.

The problem with Season 7 is that is was really really serious and there was really no more jokes and I really did not like season 6 because after Tabula Rasa everyepisode was too depressing

I personally liked s7, it had to be a bit more serious to make an appropriate ending to Buffy saga....

BUFFY was always serious, but with a touch of humor. Even during the early years. The Angelus storyline of S2, the Faith/Mayor Wilkins storyline of S3, the S5 storyline featuring Dawn and Glory, are just a few examples.

In fact, one of the most depressing storylines of the entire series was about Angel losing his soul in late Season 2.

season 7 was great, it ended in a good way, although i think some of the characters were just an annoyance and could have been done without, i personally liked season 7, it just wasnt my favorite season

Besides a few episodes, I found S7 somewhat boring. No where as bad as Season 6, but it just didn't thrill me as much as I thought it would. I expected more, but I'm happy with the way it ended.

Season 7 didn't always seem so sure where it was going...that kind of bugged me...but all in all I loved the season very much. Certain episodes and scenes just made it great. I can't wait to own it...(and season 6 was just amazing)...but score one more for the S7 fan club! 😛

Season 6 was great, because it brought in the darkness that it needed. Hello? She got ripped from heaven! Not exactly gonna be fluffy and kitten like. I loved season 5 the best, maybe due to dracula... 🙂
Season 7 sucked baboon genitals because it was Buffy been all superior and whingy. Also, too many characters! They should of just had Buffy, Giles, Xander, Anya, Willow, Spike and Dawn. No KENNEDY!.
However I did like the aspect of Soulful Spike, I don't think it was all about him, They were trying to show that even the bad guys can make a difference. Everyone had been going on about how useless he was during the series, Esspecially when he got chipped. But in the end, he made a difference. Just like Angel did. And I thought it was about time that someone else saved the world.

I really liked the idea of having Potentials together as we could see how different future Slayers may be...

It's call growing up. Buffy could not remain the 16-18 year-old girl, forever. Where is the character development in that?

I knew exactly where Season 7 was going.

I thought season 7 was better than season 4, 5, and 6. I could have done without that episode with the jacket though.
