*****NO SHIP WARS PLEASE*****

What is it about your favourite ship, that makes it your favourite? Why do you think that way?

For me, Spuffy has always been my favourite, because I love that passionate, raw, bad boy with a heart sort of thing.

Which is kinda how I think my boyfriend is. He's definitely no Angel.

I don't want a romantic, totally loving relationship, I love the fire, and the passion.

What is it for you guys?

Cordelia & Doyle
They just fit well with eachother, and their interactions were great. And Doyle instantly liked everything about Cordelia, and wouldn't of changed anything. Cordelia was still transitioning from her Sunnydale self to the person she became later in Ats, but just when she finally was ready to accept her feelings, he of course gets killed off ~____~

I love Doyle & Cordy! They're one of my favorites too. :)
Buffy and Angel

In everything in my life I am drawn to the idea of balance. Of things being equal. And that is who I believe Buffy and Angel are to each other. Equals. They loved each other in the same way, one wasn't more invested than the other. They have faced similar situations, they have a similar fight spirit and a sense of right and wrong, and they both are the only people who know what it is like to do what they do and have lives in their hands, waiting for their call. I also really adore that they can continue to love each other even though they cannot be together. I like the idea of something meaningful lasting and not been torn asunder by time or distance. I think they are still each other's definition of joy, even after everything. And you know what, it is really nice to see a story being told about staying in love, rather than love ending.

Spuffy all the way 🙂
It's complex, beautiful and has a great evolution. They love each other for what they are, they've seen the best and the worst in each other and still they try, they never quit.
They're just... perfect in all their flaws.

Tillow for me. Can't sum it up better than I did before in an earlier thread: True love is indistinguishable from best friends with benefits. I really, really don't want any of that romantic baggage on board.

And it rates above Spuffy (which definitely is my 2nd best choice) because while the above sentence is true for both ships, the drawback of Spuffy lies in the anatomy. It actually speaks volumes about the greatness of Spuffy (especially the whole hope, maturation, and responsibility topics) that I ship them despite the hetero sex involved... which Tillow doesn't (duh!), so Tillow will always win out for me. 🙂

Spuffy and Tillow.

Tillow because it's everything I want out of love. It's true and undeniable. Their relationship is the best and closest friendship you could ask for. And that is exactly what I think the best romantic relationships are.

Spuffy because it's so full of raw passion. The love they had for each other lit the path for both of them to become the heroes they were at the end of season 7. And it is one of the most inspiring stories I've ever heard.

I ship Spuffy, not because I deny or dismiss Bangel, because I most certainly do not and never have. Bangel is a great first love story, and if the series had ended after Season 3, I could have accepted it solely on the evidence of that two and a half years, simply because it is the classic adolescent fantasy. But I've always been a sucker for stories like "The Princess Bride," where the guy sets out to earn his lady's love, against overwhelming odds, and succeeds. He actually EARNS the right to live happily ever after with her. That's what I saw Spike do, despite the isolation and rejection of his own kind and the disapproval and mistrust of Buffy's friends, and that's why I support and cheer for Spuffy.

Bangel. Because their love is deep, eternal, and most importantly it is real. It is also tragically forbidden which makes it stronger and more interesting.

CANGEL!!! They are my fave ship, because, they have probably the best chemistry I've seen ever!!! Cordelia makes Angel actually feel happy, and not miserable. Angel makes Cordelia feel wanted and needed, like she has a purpose in life, and that she's special!!!
They are both my two most favourite character from the Buffyverse, and Make me smile, and do the happy dance!!! That is why they are my favourite!! 🙂

Without any doubt, Snoyce!!

Most people don't think about Snoyce, but when they do, they love the idea! Two people who never found true love on BtVS, and yet they're together forever in Fandomland.

After that, it's Spuffy. Especially Season 7 Sexless Spuffy.

I also liked Funn/Gred. It doesn't get much love, but I think they went good together.

I don't know what it is about COrdy, but I have 4 ships tied as my favorite: Cordy and Angel, Cordy and Xander, Cordy and Doyle, and Spike and Buffy. I don't have much of an exlanation as to why I liek the Cordelia ones, but I ship Spuffy because of Spike's long sory arc of fighting the beast within himself, and the passion between them. The buildup and develepment is just so great.

I tend to favor the Cordelia relationships too. I don't know why either. Maybe it has to do with the fact nobody is exactly like her. And when she pairs up with someone, they come from different worlds...which makes it interesting.

Buffy and Angel.

I always thought that there are different ways in which people weave their love relationships. I think that there is the physical love, the psychic love and the spiritual love. In my opinion, Buffy and Angel belong to the third type. Their love includes both the physical that the psychic, but at the same time transcends them both, for become (as a whole) for something completely different. They, loving each other, have defeated the "duality" and they become "units". Merged into a single being who thinks, acts, lives and loves in the same way. Soulmates in fact, and only coming together they can feel complete. Only in the spiritual love exists the completeness. This kind of love is extremely rare, but exist.

That's why I'm Bangel. Buffy and Angel belong to love transcendent ..and a their kiss could easily have moved a mountain

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer was, is and always will be Angel's soulmate. She knows it, and he knows it, and though she has tried to move on, all other men walk in the sunlight. Angel is her shadow side, the true half of her, and though they cannot be together as lovers, no man or God or Powers That Be can sever the deep bond between them."

Couldn't have said it better
I ship Winya because it did get a little sexy there.

Lol, it took me a few seconds t figure out what Winya meant 🙂

Out of all the ships, I love Calendiles the best. I feel like they were the most beautiful, true and mature love story the show saw and Giles never fully recovered from losing her. That, my friends, is what true love is; when you love someone so much that you're never complete again after they're gone.

<3 It was so short, I tend to forget it when lists like these come up, but I very much agree with what you write here.

Tillow: I love those two so much. They're my favorite!

Doyle/Cordelia: This one had so much potential. Heck, I wrote fan fic about these two. They never should have killed Doyle. 🙁

Spuffy: I like the character of Spike much more than Angel personally. Spike probably knew Buffy better than anyone. I loved in "Chosen" where Buffy finally tells Spike she loves him. 🙂

😛Spuffy!!!!! i love theire relation...spike is sexy, badboy but he knows to be romantic.
He's protector, sensual......he's cute!!!!!!!!!i love him!!!😛

First, the romance between Buffy and Angel speaks to me of all the lovers I've loved in fiction but don't want in real life, like Heathcliff, Mr. Darcy (the one you see if you ignore the irony of it all), Jordan Catalano - you know, the dark, broody and possibly somewhat dangerous one. The cliché of the mysterious lover that only one woman can understand. As the relationship grows, though, I see what Kean describes: The egality (can that be used about a couple, or is it a political word only?). That is something I truly strive for in my own relationship (and think that I have found). The soul mate factor, too, appeals to me - even if it's something I believe that hardly exists in the real world, I like seeing it in fiction.

Buffy and Spike. Because their relationship is about hope. About second chances. About forgiveness. Never give up. Try to be a better person. Try to overcome prejudices, adversity, bad timing. Forge your own destiny.

Besides, they look organic in both "royal" genres - tragedy and comedy. They're played by handsome and talended actors. Their journeys are shaped by a brilliant writer.
