Curious, did Sarah give a reason for not being? I am new to the boards, I searched but found nothing. I am not trying to be curious. I thought she may have had to jet off to make a movie or something.

smg didn't really go to any of those things did she? i'm not sure either what her reason was.

Im not sure but i think i read or saw an interview, where she said something about doing movies and being to spend more time with her husband and things of that sort.

I know but the wrap party...lord..that would be a few days after the finished filming...she had the rest of her life to be with Fredells. It just seemed sad she wasn't there.

What sucks is that I don't think she's in any of the special features, not the bloopers and stuff, but the interviews.

You're the lead in the show and you don't do any of the interviews? Way to make me feel I got ripped off for the boxset.

I read a news article this morning about a child that was stabbed to death.
In the paper alongside it was an article about people protesting Heathrow due to global warming.
A guy was beaten and killed because he challenged some youths who were grafitying a wall.
There are more issues in Iraq with alot of people fighting and dying.

OK, when you read those, does it really matter if a Hollywood star didn 't turn up to a wrap party for a show (doesn't matter how great the show was) she was in due to conflicting work commitments?
I think you'll find the answer is no.

Does It Really Matter?

In the scope of the real world, you are absolutely right. It doesn't make a damn that Sarah wasn't at the wrap party when you compare it to the global warming crisis.

It doesn'y matter whether Buffy "really" loves Spike more than Angel when you compare that to the number of homeless people roaming the streets of our planet.

The number of home invasions in this country have increased by a terrifying rate in the last five years, and that is certainly more important than whether Buffy ever knew about Connor.

And it most certainly is more important that a national sports celebrity has been engaged in the "sport" of watching dogs tear themselves to pieces for the gratification of a bunch of sick people than just how much pig's blood it takes to sustain a vampire.

But this is not a forum set up to discuss, complain about, or solve those more important issues. This is a place where a group of people of diverse backgrounds come to discuss their mutual enjoyment of the creative talents of a man named Joss Whedon. That doesn't mean that we don't care about the real world, it simply means that we don't spend every waking hour brooding over the bad things in life.

If a specific issue upsets you, work to correct it. I do, and have for probably longer than you have been alive. Habitat For Humanity can always use more workers. The ASPCA will gladly take your contributions, as will any number of other worthy causes. Write to your congressman about your concerns, or, better yet, get out and campaign for the man or woman you believe will best fight for your causes.

There are places you can go and things you can do to help relieve the suffering of your fellow man or improve the environment. Do what you think is right, I do, and I'm sure quite a few other people here do as well. This, however, is a place where we come to get a little relief from the real world, a place where we deal with something we enjoy. It helps us deal with those things that we don't enjoy.

I actually agree on the show side, I was actually in a foul mood from work and this just made me think 'pointless'.

However this specific topic IS set in the real world as it is regards to SMG being somewhere else then at a party.
It's not really that big an issue with the verse.

Aw..Shucks

Don't worry about it, pal. You gave me a perfect opportunity to dust off the ol' soap box. Everybody has bad days. At my age, a guy needs a little something to get his heart pumping every now and then.

I was just curious. I wasn't ragging her. Just wondered. I didn't mean to set off a world discussion. Yes the world sucks. That is why I DO NOT WATCH THE NEWS!! But I come to the boards to escape this crappy world. I thought that was the whole point of this board to ask questions. She was filming Scooby Doo!! Thanks for the answer. Now I have it.

In the special features Allyson looks like a goddess at the wrap party lol!! People who had a few episodes showed and Buffy didn't... wow...

It's really over 🙁 I watched all the special features all the commentary all the episodes 🙁 I'm sad now

Buffy is never over!...we just started a 40 comic run for season 8 and Joss knows how he wants to sart season 9...Buffy is good a few more years yet!

But that doesn't change the fact that a season 8 exists...it will be available for a long time yet...

some don't like season 4 or 6 or 7...I could go on here people! point is Buffy isn't over!

Yeah she flew out to Australia for Scooby Doo 2 instead...and thank God...wouldn't have wanted to miss that cinematic wonder!

As much as I love her as Buffy it really p***es me off how she thought she was bigger and better than the show...I mean she was the lead and she wasn't at the wrap party? anybody else think that was all kinds of disrespectful?

Yeah, I know. But I mean REALLY don't like Season 8. I'm not saying me, I'm saying people...don't accept it.

What?! Of course that's disrespectful! Wow! And isn't she the reason a movie couldn't be made? Cause she refused to come back?!

I'm getting Cookie Dough Ice Cream and giving it to everyone minus SMG 😛 But, I still do love her, anyways.....

I can't confirm anything about the film but at least 2 cast members were not pleased about the show ending. AH was not impressed in the least and JM felt it could have gone on for 2 more seasons, which I have to agree with.

I agree, too.

If it had gone on, though, I think it would've had to be different than Season 8, because a lot of what Joss is doing, imo, is because he can and he doesn't have a budget. That's the only reason he's doing a lot of the things like Giant Dawn, imo.
