When not only do you know what a party line was (NOT the 900 numbers), but actually used one.

You know what 8 tracks are and owned some.

Your telephone usage was limited by cord length.

Heating up anything meant using the stove or oven.

Your TV choices were NBC (2), PBS (8), CBS (11), ABC (13), and possibly a few local channels (26 and 39). (Listed channel numbers were MY numbers growing up). Along with that, TV shut down about midnight after playing the national anthem.

Because I don't own them anymore. I'm sure there are some people who kept them, but mine died years ago.

Funnily enough Matt Smith is my first Doctor and I was a child when he was the Doctor, but I didn't see him or the show till I was a teenager.
