In Graduation Day Part 1, after Buffy stabs her and before she falls into the truck, Faith tells Buffy that "killing" her wouldn't help "her boy" anyway (Angel) and "You should of been there, B. Quite a ride."

What do you think Faith meant by this? Some fans think Faith is suggesting that her and Angel slept together in Enemies.

I never thought she was implying that they slept together. I've always read that line as Faith letting Buffy know that she had a good run. That if she were to die then, that she lived her life the way she wanted to. Also, I think it was one last jab at Buffy for following the rules and putting other peoples feelings above her own rather than doing things for herself.

Agreed. The Angel comment was a last "Nah nah nah naaa" becasue she denied Buffy the chance to save Angel.

The ride-bit was just her having the last word. Since she was almost dying, I think it's possible she didn't quite think it through what she said, but I think Faith just wanted to say that she didn't regret anything, just that Buffy hadn't been with her. Well, something similar.

To me it's "Still won't help your boy, though." [Thinks: "He was very sexy when I was riding him".] "Shoulda been there, B, quite a ride."

Well we know they didn't sleep together and I don't think Faith would have made a taunt unless they had, she saw not sleeping with Angel as a personal failure so doubt she would bring it up as she was about to die.

I think she just wanted to make Buffy jealous. She wanted to hurt her! Maybe she wanted to let Buffy think about a sexual-experience with Angel maybe she just wanted to say that she had a nice time with Angel and he had a nice time with her. It doesn't matter. What metters is the message, the message that Buffys highest good, was no longer hers, it was Faiths( Or thats what she thought).

Ride is often a synonym for journey or trip, and since she never implied the ride had anything to do with Angel, I don't think it could be that. The line about Angel and the line about the ride seems to be seperate. Specially considering the context(and that she says "her" boy, not "theirs" or "mine").

Buffy was there, fighting Faith to help Angel. Then Faith came up with a way to make sure Buffy couldn't save Angel, thus she said the line about Buffy not being able to help Angel.

Also, other than the biker thing, when else does she use "ride" to speak about sex?

One last reason why I think they didn't have sex; it would have been a to important event to have happen off screen. We don't know how far Angel had to go to play Angelus, so it's possible, but not likely. And if Faith has slept with Angel, I think she would have mentioned it at a earlier occasion, instead of insufficently hinting at it when she thought she would die. I doubt she would pass up the opportunity.

In Sanctuary Angel confirms that he and Faith never slept together.

But are we so sure they Faith and Angel get physical? Angel does tell Buffy he never meant for it to go "that far." Buffy can sense something is wrong.

Personally, I think they did get physical. We see them making out on the floor, with Faith stradding him. Are we supposed to believe that Faith wouldn't take advantage of that situation? And Angel would have had to go along so she wouldn't get suspicious.

And I think its totally in character at this point for Faith to brag about having sex with Angel.

I always wondered what she meant by that - it is kinda ambiguous! However, I really don't think it's meant to allude to Angel at all (also bearing in mind the scene in Sanctuary and the fact that Angel wouldnt go that far) Ultimately, I think it's to do with a final comment on her whole experience. She thought she was dying so she is revealing herself - her whole 'ride' with evil, with being a rogue slayer! I dont think it's meant to be a jab at Buffy; the tone of her voice seems to be alot softer than her usual digs at Buffy - she really means it!

Never thought that Faith really wanted to fight Buffy, or, Buffy wanted to fight Faith. If you notice, when the fights came to an end Faith ran away (coward but was required), and Buffy never chased after her (because she really did not want to fight).

It was an interesting fight, and being stabbed was different. Still, when Buffy and Faith were in the hospital, Buffy came over to kiss her. Faiths comment, ya, but they needed to have some type of story. Buffy had to let herself be bitten. Something that Faith did not think would happen.

I like that line because it's ambiguous but I never thought it was about sleeping with Angel.

I mostly thought it was Faith saying that she has enjoyed her life and lived it to the full. "Should of been there, B" - Faith saying that Buffy missed out on the fun by being "Good". There's also a hint of sadness in her voice, I think she missed Buffy once she "went evil and was killing people".

I'm the onyl with Joan the Vampire Slayer on this one; it was part of that man that Angel needed killing in "Amends". I really like Angel as a character, but this was one of his weaker moments.

Although the interpretation was interesting, the exchange in Angel the series pretty much confirms most of our suspicions, that they did not have sex, and that Faith was talking about her journey into the dark side as being quite the ride, a ride Buffy might have enjoyed.

seems something is missing

I first watched this in 1999, I was in year 10, was just watching it again and I got to thinking about it, I think a scene or possible even a few scenes from different episodes that were left out by Joss might have to do with it

If not I would think she means its been quite a journey, the season seemed to be about the journey, finishing high school, the whole Buffy and faith, Angel and Buffy ending it was the end for her so she was saying it was quite a ride for her and everything she did that Buffy was not a part of (watch Bad Girls episode)
