The way you put your bra on reveals a lot about your personality, says Patti Wood, a body language and human behavior expert and author of Snap: Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language, and Charisma. "There are four distinct personality types — drivers, influencers, supporters, and careful correctors — who tend to have very unique ways of doing things, even small tasks," she says. "Everything you do — and the way you do it — comes together to form a story about yourself, and there's no reason your undergarments shouldn't be a part of that."

You Use a Back-Clasp Bra, and Clasp It in the Back
You're a supporter, which means you like to stick to tradition and tend to follow along with what you've always been taught (Hey, if it ain't broke...). So it makes sense that you aim for the back-clasp, as that's how mom — or your girlfriends in the gym locker room — taught you how to do it. You also love being around people and getting along with them, so bra shopping is just another excuse to get the girls together for a fun day out on the town. And if anyone ever needs help choosing a sexy lingerie set or finding the perfect sports bra — you're their gal. Not to mention you always have a safety pin on hand, just in case someone's strap pops. [HASHTAG]#NeverTooPrepared[/HASHTAG].

You Clasp Your Bra in the Front, Then Rotate It to the Back
Hey there, influencer. You're a woman who likes to feel appreciated, supported, and look the part that you're presenting yourself as (businesswoman, mom, sexy wife, whatever), and your lingerie fits into that. You gravitate toward pretty, standout bras (a girl who isn't afraid of color or making a statement), and likely have an entire drawer dedicated to different kinds of bras because hey, you never know where you're going or what you'll be wearing, so your outfit needs to be able to adjust as well as you do. As for the actual clasping of the bra, that's just another way for you to make sure you look your best — there's no way in hell you're missing a clasp, or not taking the time to adjust those straps properly. And once you find a go-to set, you can bet there'll be a review or shout-out on your Instagram so everyone can enjoy the lady love.

You Use a Front-Clasping Bra
As a driver, you look at life as a no-time-to-waste opportunity, so no one will find you fumbling with clasps that you can't even see. That's why you opt for a front-clasper — so you can efficiently get it done and move on with your day. And since you don't like to waste time, you also make sure the clothing you invest in is of high quality (because if you have to go shopping again, you are not going to be a happy camper). When it comes time to shop for bras, there's no time for lollygagging — this definitely isn't an all-day event with your besties. You make smart, well-researched decisions (no "top 10" shopping choices for you popping up on Facebook), and don't second-guess yourself. In other words, consider yourself a [HASHTAG]#boss[/HASHTAG], because you like to kick ass and take names on a daily basis.

You Clasp Your Bra Once, Then Slide It Over Your Head Each Day
(do people really do that?)
Consider yourself a careful corrector, meaning you like to make sure things are done right. That's why you tend to clasp a bra in the proper place once, then shimmy it on from there on out — you know it's set where it's supposed to be, and you no longer have to worry about getting it correct every single time (that's also why you likely feel the most comfortable in a sports bra). You don't really like attention, so when it's time to get dressed, you scurry to the closest private area for a fitting. Which also means you're shopping solo — you likely have a calendar notice for when it's time to buy some new bras (according to the expert recommendations, of course), make sure you have the most accurate measurements, quietly select your subtle purchases, and package them discreetly. At the end of the day, you like to have what works, no bells and whistles required.

You don't have to say how you dress, just do you think the assessment is accurate? Is it really you?

This would be me, although not sure if the description matches up! I suppose it's right on the appearance of the bras I wear but I don't post photos on instagram, lawl. I sure do like to feel appreciated and supported, doesn't everyone? The way I put mines on is just a time saving thing, you know, it just makes sense to me. I should say though, being a mother those first few months when you're constantly in maternity and feeding bras? Not sexy.

How do you wear yours, Mr. Pole?

Why are you reading Cosmo Mr. Pole? lol. It says I'm a supporter but that only partly fits me, I'm not social and I do not like going bra shopping, I'm still kinda shy about that stuff.

I've never heard such crap trap in all my life lol. And they actually pay this woman?!😀

How do you know it's crap ;) Someone's personality didn't fit how he puts on his bra?

Commando...

Why are you reading Cosmo Mr. Pole?
Why not? The more one reads the more intelligently they can speak on a subject rather than just dismissing it outright. Cosmo is just one of the many mags I read. It's all about learning and understanding perspectives other than your own.

Good answer. More guys should read Cosmo.

You don't have to say how you dress, just do you think the assessment is accurate? Is it really you?

It's "studies" like this from "experts" like that that make me glad that I subscribe to "Guns & Ammo" instead of "Cosmopolitan."

I use my hands. 🙂

Which makes me intrepid, inspirational with a live-for-today philosophy.
And a bit scatterbrained. 😉

Accurate? Well personally I've never heard of someone doing the fourth option, the other ones seem... kind of out of the blue assessments.
I know people, myself included, who do it all of these ways and don't think twice about it. She also leaves out brassiere options, like say soft ones that don't have a clasp. Or whether you like underwire, balcony or t-shirt styles (which I would say says more about your personality than does how you clasp it...)... this seems like a page filler and nothing more 😉 But then, Cosmo and its ilk are page fillers and nothing more, and there's nothing wrong with that. These mags can be a fun read. As long as you don't try to put any kind of value into what they write. There's a reason why they sell, and I'm sure something like Guns & Ammo have the occasional stinker piece in there as well.

"and I'm sure something like Guns & Ammo have the occasional stinker piece in there as well"

Like "What do your bullets say about you?" 😀

The reason it matters is because it keeps hacks like her in employment and because it keeps up this silly idea that something as minor as a bra impacts on someone's personality. It doesn't people, their trying to make you look like fools, and make money in the process. This thread is for comedy purposes only moving on!😀

I read Cosmo! Although I agree this particular article is silly.

No need to burn your bra.

@Fuffy Baith It wasn't intended as a slant on people who read the mag just the whole culture of things like this. Out of interest do you read it because you find it informative, a good read etc.. Or do you read it as a light trashy read?

I read it cause there's a Q&A advice section that i really enjoy. Plus I'm a perv and i like the sex related articles. They're interesting. And it's not all filled with trash stuff either they do have a section about real life stories of women which is also interesting. And there's some life style tips here and there. Occasionally you get these silly quizzes but overall it's not a trash magazine really.

lol, I used to love those quizzes. They're silly sometimes but fun
For a magazine that is about women and takes something of the feminist ambiance of the time, I find it interesting the cover always features spectacular cleavage. Maybe they are not as feminist as they think.

The cleavage is the only reason I pick the mag up!

I've read (though I forget where now so don't quote me on this 😉 ) that when they put men or less "glossy cleavag-y" kind of pics on it they sell less issues. Not sure what that says about it the majority who purchase it (pressumably women).

If I were a different class of person I would say it adds truth to those rumors that all women are closet lesbians.

Lol!

I'm gonna go ahead and say that many might just prefer that ideal, shiny looking photoshopped picture. Cause usually (unless they make mishaps like remove arms) the pictures do look good. And don't we all enjoy a bit of eye-candy? 😉
