Your Favorite Spuffy Episode?

I have a question: When Buffy tells Spike "It would never be you" in Fool for Love, is she referring to that she'd never love him or that she'd never let him be the one to kill her and grant her death wish?

Both.

I love that scene... in fact, I love that entire episode. 😀

I haven't yet watched season 6 or 7, so I'd have to say I like Something Blue, Fool for Love and Intervention. Also, I like when he is lurking outside her house in No Place Like Home, how she calls him William and he says she has stupid hair. That made me laugh. School Hard is good too.

I always thought she was saying that he would never have a chance with her. Since it seemed to me he actually surprisingly trying to make a move.

I agree with Amy. I think it's both.

But, I also think it has something to do with "dancing", because that's what he says right before the attempted kiss that causes her to shove him to the ground. He offends her by insinuationg that they could ever get physical.

It's one of those genius lines that can be read in so many ways, and as a reaction to so many things. Spuffy are full of those. 😉

Oh man, favorite Spuffy episode? Eeek! If I had to pick one, I think the one that sealed the deal for me was "After Life." The moment Spike sees Buffy walking down those stairs...my heart just melts. And Buffy, staring back into his eyes...it looked like that was the first time since she came back from heaven that she looked calm. Then, when they just sit on the couch, Spike's holding her hands, and they looked up at each other at the same time...oh, I could just go on and on, lol! 😀

Another episode I also love that I don't think anyone mentioned was Sleeper. Buffy says to Xander that she really feels Spike has changed and she really wants to believe he didn't kill those girls. And even when she did find out he actually kill them (while under the First's control), she still wanted to help him. And I love it when Spike says in the same episode, "Because God help me Buffy, it's still all about you." I just want Buffy to run into his arms and hug him 😀

I also love Never Leave Me because I love how Buffy and Spike begin to express their feelings and get to the truth of everything that previously happened between them.

OMG. Um...make me bawl much. lol. If you need me, I'll be over here in the corner with my tissues. MEANIE.
Something Blue, oddly enough would have to be my favorite Spuffy-based episode. I think that's the only time I ever saw those two happy together which makes it my all time favorite, feel free to disagree.

SB was a great episode, and my favorite part of it was definitely the Spuffy subplot. 😀 Although, sadly, it wasn't real.

Which is why, after rewatching, School Hard is still my favorite. Becoming pt. 2 was good as well, but I dunno, there's something about School Hard that was... Awesome. (sw)

Hmm i have way too many to pick just one. my top faves are :
Once More with Feeling
Hush
The Gift
The Body

I think 'Chosen' is their best episode since Buffy says she loves him, but I'm not one for supporting Spuffy. I really haven't like any of the guys she has been with (Scott Hope, Parker Abrams, Riley.) I think the only relationship she has been in that I've liked is the relationship with her sister.

Well, hun, if that is the case, I think you're in the wrong club, then! 😉

lol, yeah, Dawn/Buffy is the ultimate 'ship...as wrong as it is. Sort of reminds me of Wincest, an abomination, in my opinion.

*shudders*

So, I just re-watched Season 5, and I think I might change my answer for favorite Spuffy episode. I think it's Fool For Love. That episode is JUST SO GOOD. Also, Crush is fantastic, and well as The Weight of The World. That season is just full of fantastic and memorable Spuffy moments. So, as much as I love the raw passion they share in Season 6, or the quiet mutual affection and understanding they have in Season 7 - I'm going to have to go with Season 5 Spuffy as my favorite for now.

Oh, I love Spuffy in season 5 too. 🙂 The last scene in Fool For Love when Spike comforts Buffy and then they sigh at the same time...so adorable! And the more and more I see Crush, the more I love it. "Is this a date?" "Please?! A date?! Why do you want it to be?" Lol, 😀 And I love their scene together in "The Gift" as well, when Buffy invites Spike back inside her house. Very touching 🙂

But, I honestly cannot rank my favorite seasons with Spuffy because they are so many good episodes/moments in all seasons (well, except season 1, lol). 🙂

Oh my god. "I know I'm a monster, but you treat me like a man and that's..." and the way that she just stops at the top of the stairs, slightly turns her body, and looks back down at him. What he's saying is, "that's enough." Because, it really is.
Ah, I'm not sure. There are so many episodes that I really do love because of the raw emotion and all of that. Then there are the ones I love for the sheer comedy of it. The ones I love for the chemistry. The ones I must admitt I love for the sex and all that kind of thing. I could seperate them into categories one day. Maybe I will.

I think, personally, and I haven't actually seen every single episode in the entire series yet...that Something Blue is definietly one of my favourite epsiodes Spuffy wise and just...overall. It's really funny and I loved seeing Buffy and Spike in a relationship and being so open about it yet it being so...fitting with their characters cause although they're 'in love' they are also irritating each other a lot.

Also, I'm a big Smashed and Wrecked fan, natrually because I consider them to be the ultimate big begining for the sexual relationship. Besides, I like seeing Spike happy and cocky again for a little bit at least because he feels he has triumphed. I also love reading into his facial expressions during the last sexy scene in Smashed. You know ehre he's going with this, you know he's pushing her towards what he wants and such.

What else? The Church scene in Beneath You is amazing. As is the "She believes in me" quote. That one actually made me cry.

Because really, what a beautiful preposterous ehxaultant halleleluja...rotfl. I'll take bringing down the walls over soul-snatching any day. rotfl. ;)
I like ALL Spuffy episodes. Even the episodes that aren't about Spuffy but I like to pretend are, lol. 😀

It's so hard to pick favorites! So I'm going to cheat and name just about everything I can think of. 😉
I love Something Blue, School Hard, Fool for Love, Intervention, basically the entire back half of Season 5 now that I think about it, Smashed, Wrecked (oh, that scene in the beginning. I'm convinced James Marsters has the sexiest legs I've ever seen in my life. No joke.), Older and Far Away (because I like jealous Spike and he and Buffy are actually smiling when they're teasing each other! 🙂), Hell's Bells, and probably all of Season 7 for all the subtlety and grace of S7 Spuffy. Hehe. 😉

And I'm probably missing huge chunks of Season 6 there but I really haven't watched any episodes recently. I'm starting a massive Buffy re-watch, starting from Season 1, next month though!

Ack. I totally forgot all about OMWF. D'oh! The end of Something to Sing About just kills me. And then the ending, with the rising music and the rising...music! 😉

This is true, it is hard to pick favorites. :)
If I have to pick JUST ONE... then I have to go with OMWF. The song Spike sings to Buffy...the way he stops her from spinning until she burns & tells (sings to) her "you have to go on living; so one of us is living"... and then that kiss at the end - OMG... swoon, swoon, swoon!!!

Gah!!! I love that scene :D
I can say without a doubt 100% that my FAVORITE SPUFFY SCENE will always be Touched, and Chosen will always follow. I do it in this order, because I believe that Spike was there long before Buffy caught up to him in Chosen. But, I feel like both scenes have a lot to say about each other in so many ways as well and for me personally - they work rather well in this order.

The scenes I'm obviously talking about are Spike's speech to Buffy and then Buffy's, "I love you," in Chosen.

I really haven't like any of the guys she has been with (Scott Hope, Parker Abrams, Riley.) I think the only relationship she has been in that I've liked is the relationship with her sister.

I think the only human relationship that I could have possibly MAYBE (and even that's a stretch) would have liked her in is if she had actually gone out with Gauge. lol. Sorry, my Wentworth Miller love wins out yet again. I wear shallow pretty damn well these days. rotfl. Only thing is, he winded to frakkin' much. lol.

"Oh Buffy, Buffy, Buffy...save me." Oh dear lord...

rotfl.

But still, much much better in my opinion. And yes, bias and complete shallowness resides beneath my skin. lol.

LOL, Gauge? I totally forgot he even existed. My hate for Go Fish is not very well masked, I'm afraid. I like Buffy in relationships with humans personally, but Spike/Buffy will always, always be my endgame.

See, nobody remembers that poor boy. lol. I thought for sure his whining would be remembered. But, still though...it boils down to my shallowness and wanting to basically look at the pretty and see the pretty interact.

And I didn't particularly not care for Go Fish, it was just sort of a meh moment for me. Things I did enjoy was Cordy/Xander and of course Xander in a speed-o. lol.

But in summation - did I really just say that? - Spike and Buffy will ALWAYS be my show OTP. Hands down. 😉

Uh there are so many..
- Intervention ; I LOVED the last scene..
- Showtime; Also the last scene, where Buffy gives him that look.
- Lies My Parents Told Me; "Most importantly.. I will let him"
- Afterlife; "Every night I save you" <3
- Fool For Love; The chemistry
- Beneath You; Love when Buffy realizes that Spike has got a soul.
- Touched; Sooo emotional.

And I could go on..
