My fav. author is probably Rodman Philbrick. He wrote, "The last book in the universe, REM World, Freak the Mighty, Max the Mighty, Fire pony etc."
 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Piears Antony hes a really famous author in the 70's and 80's and still does stuff now i think but he does fantasy books which i love becuase hey im a freek lol hes written books like the incantations of immortality (seven book series) and the books of Xanth (40 book series) and they all rock ok so im only on book 2 of the xanth series but they so far rock
 
I'm a big fan of Christopher Golden, Jeff Mariotte, Nancy Holder, Clive Barker, Robert Rankin but i think Terry Pratchett is the best of the best, his books are hillerious!
 
My favorites( at least the ones i can remember) would be Anne Rice, Edgar Allen Poe, Shakespeare, Lewis Carroll, some of Dean Koontz, Stephen King, & have recently been reading the Marquis De Sade...I have to say I have to add him in my list....there are others,but my memory fades me.
 
I like, JK.Rowling, John Steinbeck, Tom Clancy, Danielle Steel, Matt Dickinson, Sally Beauman, Ken Follett, Nikki French.

Oh there are so many great authors. My favorites are Bram Stoker, JK Rowling, JRR Tolkein, Anne Rice, and of course Shakespeare.
 
There are so many to choose from! I read a lot. A lot a lot. 😀 So, David Eddings, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, JRR Tolkein, JK Rowling, Ann Rice, just to name a few. I'm blanking out...
