lol Oh wow...people are going to be surprised with my answer.

Back in middle school, in 6th grade, my mom signed me up for this after school program since she was starting to work late nights. Well I actually kind of enjoyed it. We cooked, learned about computers, went on field trips, it was so much fun. One of the guys there, Kevin, was such a cutie. We started being best friends almost instantly. then my mom wanted to pull me out of the program because she was no longer working nights anymore so I was more than sad. I had fun, and I primary went to go and spend time with Kevin. When I told him about it, he didn't talk to me for a few days. We never had the same classes together but we would see each other in the halls. Anyways, on my last day at the program, I sat next to him and asked him why he was upset with me. He told me he wasn't upset with me, that he was upset with the situation. Then he told me how much he liked me more than a friend and wanted me to be his gf.

At this moment my little heart squeed like a fangirl meeting their favorite celebrity lol

Anyways, we dated all through middle school, and during the first two years of high school. The reason we broke up: My mom, sisters and I moved to Puerto Rico. Kevin and I both decided that it would be best to part ways, and not try the whole long distance thing. We still talk to each other. He always tells me he still loves me. I think I feel the same way. He's the only guy I had those feelings for ever.

I miss him sometimes. He was not only a great bf, but he was my best friend!

Did you watch the movie yet? ;)
Mine is quite simple!

Had a crush on a snobby intelligent guy. Then had a crush on a guy who was actually gay. Then had a crush on a guy who didn't like people. Then had a crush and fell in love with some kind of stupid womanizer. (I'm good at falling for the wrong one, right? 😀)

Now, even tough I sometimes wonder when I will finally have my first special someone, I decided not to care more than that (meaning, because I'm single, doesn't mean I can't have eye-candies and please my eyes with all the boys out there 😀)

Someone out there will find you that deserves you. These guys didn't.
I had crushes when I was younger, the first one was on my best friend. She had pretty hair, was really fun and smart. We were friends from the time we were 6 years old 'til we were like 17, but it took me years to realise it was a crush I had there in the beginning. 🙂

My first love however happened when I was 16. I met him at a halloweenparty, I was dressed up like a princess and he walked up to me and lifted me up and said something cheesy like "You really are a princess!", lol. He became my first real boyfriend and we were together for like a year. We had a really stormy and not that healthy relationship at all. He could be the sweetest thing, but also really, really horrible and abusive. It's been a long time now though and I've forgiven him and moved on. I think I can see it for what it was now, and it was both good and bad. Things are rearly black and white I suppose. I just read on facebook recently that he's becoming a father... I feel happy for him, I think he and his girlfriend seem to be a way better match then me and him were. 🙂

It's all good though now, you have your hubby

Haha, same here. We weren't friends for that long though (from 13 to 17 I think), and I didn't find out that I actually liked her *that* way until long after we stopped hanging out (she had gone and got herself a boyfriend, of course). It was a pretty intense crush and there's evidence it wasn't entirely one-sided, but nothing serious ever happened. Still I don't think I've ever been as jealous again as I was with her (and her with me vice versa, it's actually hilarious)... but she wasn't my first love.

My first love was, hello cliché, my gay friend. He wasn't "out" when we met and I think part of the reason he hung out with me as much as he did was a desperate last ditch attempt at denial, because that would at least explain the abundance of mixed signals. He'd always be extra flirty with me when other people were present so that all my friends were forever telling me that it was really obvious that he liked me, but when we were alone he couldn't have been more distant. It all makes sense in retrospect, but I grew up in a rural, Catholic area in the northwest of Germany and homosexuality just didn't exist for me (which, funnily enough, explains quite a lot of other things as well). The whole debacle went on for far too long... and the mixed signals explain why I didn't get over him faster, even though the extent to which I worshipped him even after he came out to me and produced a drop dead gorgeous boyfriend could be (and certainly was) considered pathetic by some people.

I recently found my diary from when I was 16... I was poster girl for Ze Angst, I wonder how my parents put up with me.

When I was in the fourth grade, I became best friends with a girl named Mallory. As we got older, I fell in love with her... She to this day has no idea. She ended our friendship sophomore year of high school... and she's getting married.

Back when I was fifteen I fell head over heels in love with a kid named Court. Everyone thought he was a dork and he got picked on a lot, but for some reason I thought he was the coolest/funniest person ever. He looked just like the comic book character Archie; red hair and freckles. I remember going to see an x-men one summer and holding hands with him in the theater and being the happiest girl in the world. We were both very shy but for a little over a year we were inseparable and would sneak away from our friends to hold hands. This all came to an end when his family moved across the country, but we stayed friends and still occasionally exchange emails. To this day I still have warm fuzzy feelings about him and look back on that time smile.

I totally get the ginger/freckles combo. Mmh.
I've never been in love, however, my first real, hardcore crush was when I was 15 on the guy who is now one of my oldest, dearest and best friends.

We met at a youth leadership thingy (one of the best weeks of my life) and we instantly clicked. In terms of looks it was my absolute type (dark hair, sallow skin, brown puppy dog eyes). Yeah. I fell hard. Anyway, we became instant best friends. Part of that was us being really flirty, which only confounded my crush. Anyway, it all fell apart for several reasons. We stopped talking for about two years and then one day, out of the blue, he pulled me aside in college and asked me to another of those youth leadership courses but this time as a leader. He totally took me by surprise. At that time I was going through a real hard time and him reaching out like that set me back on path.

Well, once that day happened we have been inseparable since. That was 4 years ago. There have been several more dark periods for me between then and now but he has this knack of just cutting through my bullshit and, I don't know, he saves me from myself. We have gone on holidays together (which always results in us threatening to kill one another lol) and we make plans for the future with each other in mind too. I really could't be without him.

Any crush that existed is loooong over but I am much happier now in the friendship that we have, where we know exactly who we are to each other. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Gah, mixed signals! That can mess you up so bad! It's also the reason why I didn't get over the last one easily (and still have weak moments when I see him). He was really affectionate all the time, putting his head on my shoulder whenever he could, complimenting my style, my intelligence, my kindness and blablabla. Once he also put my hair behind my ears and looked at me and hugged me saying "It's been such a while!". Another time, he put his hand on my shoulder and embraced me, and when someone said "Got yourself a new girlfriend?", he said yes and tightened his embrace. I was too "What's happening?" to react.

He was also very protective. Once when a guy of my class kept saying there was such a sexual tension between us and my pink tighs were turning him on, I was telling him to fudge off but he kept saying things, so my *knight* put himself before me and said (quite menacently) "Back off!". It worked. Another time, he insisted in escorting me and waiting with me for my friends, because "you're a perv-magnet" (which is kind of true). I kind of got used to his protection. One time a guy was heavily hitting on me in the street, so I texted him and he was going to come to my rescue. I couldn't believe it. Me, asking for a guy to come and rescue me? That was so not my kind!

Oh and there was that one time he carried my heavy bag (which had a pinguin on it, but he didn't seemed ashamed to wear a girl's pinguin bag).

And one time, in class, his gay bestfriend sent him a text to know why I wasn't wearing pink and asked if I was sad. My almost-knight showed me the sms and I said "Aaaaaawn " to his friend. The friend told me "I'm going to marry you, princess  ". The look my almost-knight gave to him! Worst than Avada Kedavra mixed with rocket launcher.

There was also the Prom-thing, where he said he was going to buy his place tomorrow. I said "Cool, but it's not really any of my business, I'm not going". Then he said "But we had to go together!" "Really?Since when?". I didn't go. He didn't go either.

Then he met my mum in the street (he had never seen her, but she knew a lot of him. That was kind of embarassing to explain how my mum knew he was. Later we were shopping, and he said "Seeing your mum habituates me for the future".

After the mummy-incident, I decided it was about time I asked him. "Soo. The way you act with me, is that because you like me, or I don't have to feel any special because of it?"
His answer? "Well...You're not like the others, you are great, smart, kind, funny, intelligent, open-minded, we immediately want to be nice with you, you make me smile, I can talk about anything to you without being afraid of being judged...But I'm just being polite, I'm like that with 98% of the girls".

Woosh.

There is no hard feelings between us tough. He broke my heart (and my self-esteem), but we still talk when we run into each other. He still say things like "Oh, you look adorable today" or "You're such a sweetie" but it doesn't really affect me anymore. I kind of thing "Compliments will lead you nowhere, friend".

And if there is some chemistry with a guy, I stop assuming it means something. At best, we'll go out, at worst, we'll hang out, and that's about it! Apparently, signs can be wrong, no matter how obvious they seem.
That's why now I'm all for the eye-candy and more...reluctant to have anything more serious than that. Right now, having a boyfriend is the last of my desires, priorities, and expectations.

(Yeah, all that blabla to say "I hate mixes signals"! 😀)

Yeah, I get that. I don't blame my friend for the way he acted, because I can understand to a certain degree why he did it. Sure, it sucked at the time, but I daresay it was even harder for him. We live in different cities now so we rarely see each other, but we still got a really nice friendship vibe going on when we do. I've obviously moved on since, and while I can still appreciate that he's INCREDIBLY hot, it's been years since I thought about him *that* way. He's one of the most dirty-minded people I know (he'd put Lyri to shame!) and he taught me EVERYTHING I know about gay (male) sex. Ahem.

Well, she wasn't worth your time and never did deserve you. There is so much better out there, someday, someone will prove themselves worthy of your awesomeness.
Well, I don't have a story...I've never been in love. I've actually never had a relationship, I've never kissed a guy and nor, to my knowlege, has a guy ever felt for me in that way. I've had crushes, but no, they haven't meant anything other than just hormones and me not knowing what feelings are quite yet. I feel miserable sometimes, watching some of my best friends with their boyfriends and just how happy they currently are.

My cousin has been dating since she was around twelve or thirteen and the first guy she had a relationship with was a douche. He went to my school and our church and she barely knew him but I knew what an idiot he was. She would ask me for advice and every time I would tell her to just get out but she didn't, so I gave her other advice that all seemed to work. I helped her through that year and now she has to admit that I was right about him. Now she has found the right one after many other tries. And this guy is decent, I like him (these days I always have to approve), he's cute and actually cares about her. Also, this is the first guy who's met her parents. She gives me hope sometimes, knowing that it took her awhile but now she's found someone who cares about her. I know it'll probably all crash down sometime since we're both only fifteen but still.

I don't know, sometimes I feel like nobody would look at me like that. I don't know why I think that but...most of the guys I know at school don't like me at all, because I'm weird or different. And the guys I am friends with have made it clear that they would never think of me that way, which hurts to hear them say to my face.

So, that's my story of a non-existant first love.

Aw, honey. A lot of people will love you in that way and a lot of people probably allready have, you just don't know it. :) I didn't even kiss someone 'til I was almost 16, so don't worry about it. And wierd = awesome.
Well I don't know about love but I had a massive crush on someone who'd been my best friend for about seven years. She stopped talking to me when we moved up too high school for no reason. I fancied her like mad and really genuinely liked her but I don't think you could call it love.

Technically speaking, my first love was Ronald Weasley.

Summer love having a blast! Summer love happened so fast!
Well it more or less lasted for five summers. I became close friends with a boy named Matt, we became really close. It started when I was 8 and he was 9. We did everything togheter. We ate lunch, went on feild trips just did about everything together. We spent 9 hours together every week day for 2 months every summer for 5 years. We were really close and were deeply in "love" or at least what we thought was love. We would just walk around holding hands. It was rather cute but the younger campers made fun of us. 😀
Every thing was great untill we came back to camp one year and he was completely differnt. It was very sad. But oh well, more summer love will hopefully come.

Fourth grade 🙂

He was my best friends boyfriend at the time so I knew him pretty well. Also, our parents were really close from running city functions together like youth center dances and sporting events.

Anyway, a group of all our friends was at our local high school football game and we were all hanging out behind the bleachers, hundreds of local kids would do this every Friday night at the game. I just got word from my friend that she broke up with him and all I said was "aw he is so cute". (keep in mind this is fourth grade, nothing serious)

Well after I said that to her, she marched right up to him and told h I thought he was cute. He told her to tell me that he liked me and wanted me to be his girlfriend so I told her to tell him "okay 🙂!!" Now since we were only in fourth grade at the time, I don't think we spoke to each other for a few days until he messaged me on AIM. We talked for a while but never really got around to hanging out much cause idk we were so young!

We broke up within a few months. I got a new boyfriend and he got a new girlfriend. Then it was time for valentines day dance at the cities youth center which both our parents were in charge of. I remember dancing with my boyfriend and he dancing with his girlfriend right next to me, all he did was look at me and I knew he still liked me and I still liked him. After that song was over, he and I spent the rest of the night talking and sitting together in the corner alone. By this time we were in fifth grade lol. Anyways we got back together and spent the next five years together, off and on. Each of us always had a new bf or gf when we would break up, but then seeing each other randomly would happen and we would like eachother again.

I think I could say i was definitely in love with him, not only him but with his family also. They loved me so much, it was truly amazing how much love there was between our families. As much as his parents loved me, my parents loved him.

We finally broke up for good in the beginning of high school. He and I both started to change and we kind of went our separate ways, I was a cheerleader and he was more of a party guy (drugs :-( ). We NEVER see each other anymore. The last time I saw him was a few years ago at his fathers funeral, it was the most emotional day of my life. Seeing him was very emotional because I knew he was on drugs that day...very sad what drugs can do to people.

Sad stuff ey. Haven't been able to find anyone as perfect as him...yet.

Mine was Sarah. Inseparable, all loved up, and pretty much everything in common. Started saving for an engagement ring and a house. We were together for a long time. Then my mam got sick passed away. I got sad, all inward and detached and Sarah cheated on me. Despised her ever since and relationships and love will never be my thing again. Broken hearts suck - don't recommend them.

Iris in kindergarden. 🙂 I actually held on to planning to marry her for many years later, till I was around 11 or so, even though by then I hadn't seen her anymore in, like, four years.

After Iris, when puberty hit like a sledgehammer, there only came bad stuff I don't really wanna go into detail into... let's just say, the first time after Iris love actually went well for me is with Shempy now. So, it's been a long Dark Age between ages 6 and 34... but with InsaneShempy being the great ship it is, it was well worth the wait. 😀

Hehe. I can't say I've ever been in love exactly, and dating has always been casual and somewhat rare, so no stories of great angst or romance from me. Although I do fall hard for fictional characters...😉

I was thinking that everyone falls in love young. I'm fifteen and have never been in love with anyone but Spike :)
I had my first boyfriend when I was twelve (well I dont count my boyfriend from fourth grade lol) but I wasn't in love with him, I think I just loved the fact that someone actually liked me. It's odd because the year before, in sixth grade I hated him and I almost got suspended for punching him lol. Then the next year we were dating. We had this secret romance for like 3 months before everyone found out lol. But then he turned out to be a stalker, followed me all over the city, kind of crazy. We were on again off again for two years. Then he decided he was gay so he could break up with me. I was mostly pissed because he felt he needed an excuse to get away from me. But luckily for me, because he tried to rape his next girlfriend.

The first guy I was in love with, we never dated, but I had the hugest crush on him for three years. He went to middle school with me but I didn't notice him until ninth grade. And I had a SMALL school so its hilarious that I didn't even know who he was for two years lol. But halfway through ninth grade he started hanging out with my group and I developed the biggest crush on him. I loved everything about him and I flirted so hard with him. I found out in tenth grade that he started to like me back, he told my best friend. We were flirting constantly and everyone in school kept joking saying 'oh Katie and Neph should totally be dating' and stuff like that. But when I tried to ask him out he said he didn't want to ruin our friendship. I was kind of devastated. I only stopped crushing on him senior year, and mostly cause I never saw him lol. But I was totally in love with him, I would have done anything for him.
