Everyone always talks about favourite characters, and I don't think I've come across a thread about least favourite characters, so I decided to make one. I was going to do a poll, but then I'd have to pretty much write down EVERY character ever to be in Buffy and Angel...So I decided to just make a topic.

My least favourite character has to be Riley, I don't know why I just never liked him. And it made up my mind when he was so horrible in season five. Ack. I also hate Kennedy, because she's a spoilt brat and also I'm pretty biased toward Tara 😛 The only character in Angel I can think of that I don't particularly like are Holtz and Groo. Meh, they're both annoying.

Yeah, Riley is a bore and Kennedy, well, she's SO not Tara.

But for sheer "get her out of my eyes, I hate her!" I will, as you probably have noticed in my posts before, stick to Joyce. She just rubs me totally the wrong way in about half the scenes she's in.

Yeah at first every time Joyce was on screen all I could think was "aspirin commercial" but she grew on me. I can see why you don't like Kennedy too. I find Xander pretty annoying a lot of the time because of his mannerisms and speech impediment. I didn't like Cordelia early on in BTVS but then got to like her a bit but when she moved to ATS I really didn't like her. So I'll have to go with Cordelia.

Oz on Buffy and Connor on Angel. Oz because I just never really clicked with the character, Connor because of the whole sleeping with Cordy thing.

I didn't like eve. She was a poor replacement for lilah.

Kennedy is the only one I strongly disliked. And a lot of Potentials in general. The only ones I liked were Vi, Amanda and the one that didn't speak English.
But Kennedy really rubbed me up in the wrong way. She just thought she knew it all and seen it all, at least that's how she came across. And I always felt like she shoved her way into a group dynamic (that by extension includes all of us) that had been going years and years and had seen so much and been through so much together. And she shoved herself in within a week! And then she thought she knew better about Willow's power (Until Will used her in that portal spell of course), I just really wanted to say to her 'Yes, you've always known about Slayers and Watchers but you're still a newbie so step aside and let the experts do their job!'.

But other than that I liked all the characters even the ones that drove me insane at times. (As for example Xander's reaction to the realization of Spuffy always gets me a little irritated. I mean he left his girl at the altar for crying out loud and he's upset about what was on the most basic of levels, comfort sex? Jeez. But you know, I still loved the character)

The first Buffy character that comes to mind is Kennedy. Like Joyce said, she acted like she knew everything from the getgo, and every time she spoke, I just wanted to slap her in the face. And I just thought she was a terrible girlfriend for Willow. They were hardly even friends, Willow always looked like she felt terribly awkward when they were talking, they were nothing alike, they had NO chemistry, Kennedy seemed so much younger than her, their relationship progressed far too quickly...I could go on. I know, a lot of people say, "Oh, you just don't like Kennedy because she's not Tara!" Wrong! I don't like her because she's so annoying!

On that note, I was incredibly annoyed by almost all of the Potentials. I thought season 7 was really good until they came along and completely ruined it. Rona really grated me sometimes, and even the Dania Ramirez character got on my nerves (although she gets extra points for being on Heroes now, even if Maya isn't really a great character.) I did, however, like Vi and the Chinese girl who didn't speak any English. Neither of them got enough screentime. And Amanda was alright at times, but I think she was just good compared to the other Potentials...if she had been the only one, I think we'd all hate her.

I also didn't like Warren, but to be honest, that's just because he killed Tara (although I did think the episode where he killed Katrina was incredibly boring.)

On Angel, I don't like Connor or Holtz. Do I even have to explain why I didn't like Connor? He whined constantly, he always got himself involved in things that were none of his business, he acted like he was "all that," and he slept with Cordy, who was practically his mother! Gross! I have to say, however, that he really redeemed himself in season 5. He was great in the two episodes he was in, and from what I've heard, he's good in After the Fall (I still need to get ATF, especially because I love Buffy season 8.) Holtz just kind of took up screentime, and, though he was well-acted, he was just boring in general. His actions were justified in the beginning, but after a few episodes, it was just, "We get it! You don't like Angel! Now get out!" I think I'm the only person that didn't hate Eve, but I certainly didn't like her. No one can replace Lilah.

Like Joyce said, all of the characters did a few things that annoyed me, particularly Xander, Dawn, and Buffy. I was always incredibly annoyed by Xander's reactions to things that didn't go his way, since he always just freaked out. Dawn complained a bit too much for my taste in seasons 5 and 6, although her complaints were definitely justified (and she was great in season 7.). Above all, though, I just hated Buffy's vanity. I understand, her superiority complex was a major part of season 7, but she had it since the show first started! As Willow would say, at times, she deserved to have "every square inch of her ass kicked."

Also, what's with all the Joyce hate?! She was a great character! Not only was she necessary, but she was a very realistic portrayal of a single mother put into those situations.

Joyce karma. ;) Haha. And I agree with the realistic portrayal comment. I grew up with a single Mother and they really captured it perfectly in the show. It was spot on.

Dawn's complaints may have been justified in S5, but not in S6, where she was just being insensitive and selfish.
There's no one I really hate, but the one character that gets on my nerves from time-to-time is Cordelia (on BTVS). Although, I do really like her when she is going out with Xander. Other than that she's a total bitca.

btw, I haven't seen S7, so I wouldn't know about the Potentials or Kennedy. Although to me, Kennedy sound like a total nutjob, and they should bring back Tara. 🙂

Have you seen Angel yet? Well, if you haven't, I'd like to bet that, by season 3, you like Cordelia. But I'm sure you'll hate Evil Cordy in season 4, since, well, she's just awful.

I don't really hate characters but I don't like characters that i'm indifferent to. So that includes Eve, Graham and many of the potentials.

Hated Riley and Kennedy, never much liked Lilah (actually screamed at the television "b****, why won't you stay dead!" at the end of season four), and didn't at all like Wesley by the end of Angel.

Of the really big characters Gunn is my least favourite. I don´t hate him or anything, it´s more like I don´t really care. It can also be because he "stole" Fred from Wesley, but I never admit to that fact.

And there´s also Riley and Connor. Riley I liked at first but then he got together with Buffy he just became boring. And Connor. Well with his characters background most of his choices seemed pretty understandable but always felt so wrong. Sleeping with Cordelia was just yuck, but who hadn´t done the same if given the opportunity? He got way better in season 5 though.

Knox is played well, but I didn´t like that guy at all. I´m glad he was evil.

Jonathan and Andrew are so much better than Warren it just bugged me he seemed to get most of the attention. But since he ended up dead (or you know) I guess I can live with that.

Eve and Kennedy don´t bother me that much really, and Eve I kind of like. But she´s nothing compared to Lilah.

Finally I must say I´m glad to see that I´m not the only one liking Vi.

I agree with your Gunn comment. He's kinda, well... blan.

You don't like Evil Cordy? She rawks 😛

Sorry, but did you even read my post? I said Cordy in BTVS is annoying. I have seen Angel S4 and I did like Cordy (except when she was evil). She has grown up A LOT since BTVS.

Oh! Okay, sorry, haha. Must've misread that.
I like most of the characters, but there are a couple I don't like as much. I agree with The Ferg that Cordy of BTVS was a bit annoying. I liked her better once she matured on Angel. And sorry, but your signature reminds me that I don't like Riley. I agreed with Spike when he was calling him Captain Cardboard. I always found him very 2 dimensional. He is kind of just some boring pretty boy, who can fight a monster or two. He just doesn't have much substance to him.

Dawn and Kennedy Have To be The Most Annoying Characters In Buffy History.....I have No Reason for Dawn Just that I hate Her lol........Kennedy was just a brat who thought she was in charge and didnt like it when things didnt go her way, I so wanted Faith to kick her ass in Season 7

Definitely Riley and Kennedy. Mainly because Riley wasn't Angel and Kennedy wasn't Tara!
