A news headline locally to me (very local) shocked me today and got me thinking....(scary I know)! What is the average type of news headlines in your local area? Mine is normally like this...

Sheep were found wandering the road of high street.... all found and back with owner!
That was back in approx 2015

Now days is knife fights between angry motorists with extreme road rage... on the next street up form me!!
That was last week!!

The biggest criminals by far are the council and shire officials. They get taken to court quite often.
The town peoples have raised money for a swimming pool during the last 15 years or more, tens to a hundred thousand dollars. Then the council took control and decided to make a sports complex, the costs rose from what was there to $23million, how much will the costs blow-out?

I don't know if there is a feral cat problem as quite a lot of farmer actively protect their stock from feral cats, holiday concerns, that offer camping and caravan holidays have cat or/and dog traps in place continuous. And that is a good thing as at present I have a dozen or so lizard holes in the ground in my garden, the largest being an adult Racehorse Goanna, 4 and a half foot long.

There is a possibility of rain today, unfortunately there might be lightning so the threat of bushfires are there.

There are so many cats in my town right now, I think one had kittens. I am going to start baiting my yard. The ranger costs $80 for a trap to remove them, screw that.
I live next door to Emu's, the fence is almost belly button high, I can reach over to stroke them. Eating them is a horrible thought.
Advertising for the pie is false, it does not have 100% Emu meat as there is also Onions, carrots, Celery, Peas, Gravy, then there are all the ingredients that make the pastry. I'd suggest the claimed 100% Emu meat is more than likely going to be 20 - 25% of Emu meat.
And lets face it, as it is called the bush chook who here would know what Emu meat tastes like?
Sorry HoppyHippy but that claim by the manufacturers is complete bull_ _ _ _.
 
True call on the veggies 😀 A better question is who would drink Emu Bitter when they have a choice not to? lol

ME! I would choose them over mince pies if they were as widely available. I think my first taste was at a school camp, the teacher asked if we would like chicken, mince or emu. He proceeded to hand out the pies, each with an imprinted letter on top. M, E or C. We got about half way through when he announced they were ALL "E" pies but he had handed them out in a way we could only see the letter impression he told us to see. #NoRegrets. It was yum. But the veg is defo needed!

Last time I saw an emu was at the end of last year, I almost hit one on the roads driving to the beach, massive bugger too!

What! @HoppyHippy, how could you say you would choose Emu Pie over mince meat Pie, there's nothing wrong with cow's tongue, sheep ears and my favourite delicacy the cows outer butt.

I take it you didn't mean the mince meat you get in Christmas pies.
