Your Single Favorite Moment?

A pretty simple one, but oh my god, I love it!

From "Primeval" when Buffy is going in to fight Adam:

Xander: Buffy, I still don't like you going in alone.

Buffy: I won't be. 🙂

Difficult question!
There are so many moments that will stick to my brain no matter what!
But I'll try.

two moments/ two lines that stand out and they are in the same episode. When Buffy and Angel trick Faith in "Enemies" :

Faith: What can I say? I'm the world's best actor.

Angel: Second best.

This is a huge moment for me!!! great line, totally unexpected and I love the way David/Angel says it (very matter-of-fact) !

and at the end, the Bangel line:

Angel: You still my girl?

Buffy: Always. (leaves)

Another big moment that sticks for me is the final scene at the end of When she was Bad (ep1 S02) when Buffy comes into class a bit nervous because she's been mean to willow and Xander..she's afraid that they won't forgive her...And as she comes in, there's Willow saying "hey Buffy, we saved you a seat" and with one look everything is said, they have forgiven her and I love the way she looks at them, all humbled and grateful!

Mine is constantly changing but at this particular moment, cause I've been feeling lots of love for Giles, I'm gonna go with his line to the council members who've come to evaluate him and Buffy in "checkpoint"

Either when Tara or Dracula said "You think you know what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun." It doesn't resonate with me anymore but at the time it most certainly did.

I'm in the middle of a big Buffy rewatch atm, just finished Season 2, and whilst I have almost certainly raved on about what a great episode "Passion" is, I have to say it again- I'm not sure that these are favourite moments in the sense of being great fun to watch, they're very depressing, but they're so well done that they stick in the mind:

1) Giles finding Jenny's body: Just... the way the scene is set up. We know that Jenny is dead, we therefore know that she cannot have set this up, so seeing Giles walk in, all smiling, seeing the soft lighting and romantic set up, we all know that it isn't what it seems, in fact when Giles walks in to that set up, the audience realises just how cruel Angel has been. And the way the music builds up and crescendos as he walks up the stairs, his happiness probably rising with every step, and a huge grin growing on his face, and the audience is getting more tense because they know what he's going to find, and then as the music reaches that crescendo, he reaches the top, he sees the body, his face falls, the glasses drop to the floor.

Just... it's horrible, and it's cruel and it's heartwrenching, but Anthony Head's acting, and the way the music is timed, it's just done so damn well. Most memorable moment of the series, for me.

2) The phone call to Buffy and Willow, with Angel watching through the window- again, very well done, I think- you only hear one side of the conversation, and that is muffled, it's Angel watching in, surveying the damage that he caused. Again, very well done.

So, yeah... at some point I will try and think of some happier, cheerier favourite parts XD

IWRY at the end, the kiss.
Passion when Jenny dies and when Giles finds her.
The end of Anya in Chosen.
Doyles death.

All big moments for me.

Okay, this scene may not be my favorite but it is defiantly one of my favorites. I love the drama of the show, and some of the twists. However, it was once Spike became so loyal to Buffy is when I was hooked into the Spuffy idea in Season Five. I think this scene is tear-worthy of being too damn sweet!! ..This being one of the opening scenes of Season Six.

Hard to pick one moment but if i had to one of my favorite moments from each show it would be Wesley dying in Illyria/freds arms on "not fade away". BTVS it would be the scoobies standing up for Tara in "Family".

The elevator scene between Angel and a deceased Holland. So simple, yet so poetic. It's everything that people who wish to convey evil in fiction need to hear: that evil isn't always the single antagonist, they do not have 'opposite' goals to you. You can not just have a beginning, middle and end. It's the slap in the face that Angel's back then overblown ego needed.

I also love the scoobies patrolling in Fool For Love, with the 'choo choo', the scene where Tara runs from The Gentlemen, 'i've got a lot of demon in me' from Smile Time.
