'24' (Spoilers for UK)

It's 24. By this point in the series, no one should make the mistake of assuming anyone is completely safe. That being said, I think it'd be a waste if they killed Tony off too soon. They brought him back from the dead essentially and he's been kind of MIA for a good portion of the season. Carlos needs to be given some real screentime before they off Tony "for real."

With everything that Tony has done, he isn't going to survive this season, but I agree that he needs more real screen time.
I wold imagine he'll be given alot over the last 10 episodes.

Ohh and yes, I was happy to see Morris - I want more Morris and Chloe!
 
Don't Morris and Chloe have a kid now? Cause it seems to me I saw they did, and I said to myself, "Oh no. Poor baby. He's on the wrong show. Get that child some extra security."
 
Yep, they do indeed have a child named Prescott. Someone on the staff must like that name because that was also the name of the douche VP that tried to take control of David Palmer's Presidency in season two.
 
There is definitely going to be a 'wrap this around your brain and deal with it' ending now that the senate hearing is over. Right now Jack is the only guy to put the pieces together about another attack on America. If all the key players die who exactly is there at the end of the show to clear Jack? Even if Tony is around he's a wanted man so his credibility as a witness is zero. And I think Tony survives this season.
I think Chloe, Jannis and Morris are going to be Jack's saviour. I am having one of those selfish moments I want to see some full on interaction between Jannis and Chloe, ohhhh the sarcasm alone would absolutely float my boat! lol

Sooooooo Jack is infected with no cure...is this the end for Jack Bauer or is this a red herring?
 
OK Aaron, I think thats gonna bite Livy in the ass.

Also - CJD. The biological weapon is Foot and Mouth disease!
Jack Bauer is being taken down by a disease that mainly affects CATTLE.

Renee bugged me big time in this episode.

Rumour without a source (Yes, I know, they're the "good" kind of rumours...)
Day 8 will take place six hours after day 7 ends.
But on the other hand.
It's "said" that they're planning a movie after day 8.

The movie, if I remember correctly, was more a 'if we want to continue after season 8 we'll do movies, but we'll probably end with season 8, for Jack anyway'.
 
So what is Jon Voight's motivation with (Blackwater wannabe) Starkwood at this point? He's some kind of misguided hyperpatriot, gone off the deep end? Or it was always about power and money and now they're just in survival mode?

Think Mountain Men with a lot of money and a well armed army. Voight's vision of 'his' America is defend and protect and consequences be damned!

I was sort of thinking the same thing but if day 8 is tomorrow then Starkwood was victorious and released the chemical.
So the countdown is Jack finding the cure for not only himself but Americans as well.
It would be a complete 180 degree turn in the 24 mythology that Jack stops all terrorist attacks. But man could you imagine the backlash from the fans? "What Jack failed and Americans die!"

On a side note I noticed that there was two very distinctive and focused scenes on Jacks scars from being tortured. Was it a one time sympathy scene or will it be an important issue later in the show?

People regularly die; a nuke went off in a city, aeroplanes going down, presidents taken out etc
 
ALLRIGHT!!! KIM BAUER RETURNS!!! I know one person who is going to be so excited he will just burst with joy...Edmund Blackadder!
Well I think I know why the scars were shown last week. Agent Walker is going to call Kim and she will see them and help daddy. So Jack will live to see day 8! Wow does John Voight play the crazy, murderous dictator great or what? That whole scene was done so well. Pitches buddy off the balcony and looks at him laying dead on a floor mural of the world. Then he turns around and tries to wash the blood off his shirt with water from an ice container shaped like a globe of the world!
So with Jack on the sidelines is Tony going to carry the ball for the rest of the season? This season of 24 sure has broken from the standard 24 format.
 
They pumped Jack with that drug that's masking his symptoms, right? Then Kim will come in for an awkward meeting with Jack, donate some blood and they'll have an antidote ready to go in a few minutes 🙂

Voight is good at playing the scumbag type, no doubt. What are the odds that this season will end with Jack pitching Voight over a railing? Maybe he'll get sprayed with his own bioweapon.
 
Jeez I was just thinking this has been a good season, but where's the big "WTF" moment. Tony! Crap.

And I know everybody hates Kim, but I was happy to see her.
 
Got to agree with the WTF moment GB...but Voight said something that really caught my attention. This is bigger then you think. I think Tony is still a good guy and is working for the real behind the scene bad guy. A yet to be identified bad guy but I do have a suspicion as to who. The former President who lost to Madame President. How else would Voight know all the in's and out's of the government. How to get live feed from the White House about visitors and stay one step ahead of the government most of the time?
Another WTF moment for me was how Walker did a synopsis for Garafalo's character of what was going on with the clean up at Starkwood. I still have my suspicion about her and I really want her to be a mole so we can get some Chloe action happening! It would be nice to see the snarky Morris too.
I wouldn't say I was happy to see her but I did like the scene her and Jack had. It's not the last we have seen of her though.
 
So Tony needs to maintain a deep cover...even to the point of murdering Larry. Maybe. Voight did mention to Prez Taylor his tight relationship with the Powers Boothe character. He always seemed like a hardass, but sane.

Wouldn't surprise me. Feels like it's either that or that it in the end stands between Jack and Tony. But "bigger than this" can't mean Tony and Tony just being a "simple" henchman seems so wrong. Not sure if it's the whole "missing the show for so long" that makes me feel like this but for now it feel like one of the best seasons we've seen.


About Kim I find it quite funny that here she seems so hated but on other places she seems very popular. Which I'll have to admit has a lot to do with her looks. Me, I'm somewhere in the middle. No hate, no love. But I don't mind seeing her back.
 
Really? I've seen almost universal hate for Kim, usually not because of Elisha Cuthbert but because of the inane storylines they used to come up with for her (cougars chasing her, arguing over a baby in CTU, etc.). I have to admit I was happy to see her. I've seen much more powerful moments on television, but maybe I was in just the right mood or something, because the scene between her and Jack really got to me.

They'd better have some kind of deep cover story for Tony. It wouldn't make what he did to Larry okay, but at least it's a million times more interesting than bringing a beloved character back from the dead just to kill his character in a completely different respect later in the season.
