yeh but then you need to respect that some people just don't like her. Why would somebody who doesn't like her music be uncomfortable with themselves? Perhaps they just don't like her music?? Each to their own, but that was a bit of a closed minded statement.

Have to agree. I don't particularly feel strongly either way, but I'm not really an Avril fan and I'm by no means uncomfortable with myself! Also, isn't the earlier comment 'Keep your opinions to yourself' a little strange to be putting on a 'discussion' board. I don't wanna argue, but you have to respect that people may not like the girl.
 
I would like to apologize if I offended anyone, that was not my intention. I was just having an extremely bad day and was venting. Sorry again.
 
Well I love Avril! I saw her live a couple of weeks ago and she's amazing and soooo small in person - she looks so cute and tiny!
 
I love the song Complicated, I think Avrils an amazing artist! I really have to get her album, when i have the money too!
 
I finally bought the CD! Woohoo! 😀 Unwanted is a kick ass song!!

I've just always kinda wondered what the point of buying the cd was if you could hear it everytime you turned on the radio 🙂
 
yup. I have her album and when I listen to the radio and Avril comes on its one of the most happiest times in my life! 🙂 😀 ::crying:: 😉 lol
 
I bought it at last! And I love it! I love the songs- Sk8r Boi, Unwanted, Complicated, Anything but ordinary................the list goes on! Anything but ordinary describes me!
 
Don't get me wrong I think her songs are catchy and I don't really make a big deal out of how "Deep" someone's lyrics are. I've seen her perform twice now on TV and she just didn't sound good live at all in my opinion. Both times I've seen her she didn't really say much either so I can't really say I have much of an opinion on her personality. I get a distinct impression though the record company has created her image. It's just a little to ideal for the trends at this time in the US.

HUH? ... Okay, maybe she's a little fake and a rip-off indeed. ... She's so against mode and such and she wants things to be normal. But instead her style has become the new fashion-style. Anyway, her music is good!
 
Aimee Mann is better, and it's indeed a little too poppy for me too. Also Michelle Branch is way better, especially her song with Santana.
