Bangel in the Buffy reunion

After I watched Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest I could also see why some fans would want a B/X pairing. One of my friends was definitely a B/X shipper.
But well for me I was much more interested in Buffy & Angel and a part of that was the wonderful chemistry that Sarah & David had. I also really liked them whenever I saw interviews with them on TV. In particularly Sarah is always so funny.

About the whole Buffy/Xander thing, do you know at the time of Buffy's season 7 Sarah and Nicholas asked to Joss Whedon to put them together but he refused because he had plans concerning all the spuffy stuff

Yeah I think I read that last month in an article about the 20th Anniversary.

But honestly at that point I think a Buffy & Xander pairing would have been a bit odd, considering Xander & Anya's relationship. I really liked that they reunited them at the end. Before they killed her off, which I really didn't like!

Oh and btw, I'm also having trouble downloading EW Reunion from the net. *sigh*

I did know that but I think at that point...any sort of BX potential had sailed, and wouldn't have been believable to me. I kind of like the fact that they were the one constant in Buffy's life regarding a male relationship that wasn't romantic. Men and women can actually be friends without feeling any sort of romantic feelings for other and I think after a certain point (the later years of BtVS), they did a great job of portraying that.

Like I said, I dug them initially...before Angel came onto the screen, but I think it was because of that being the first episode I saw. But when I saw B/A together, it was like...you knew this was something amazing and special.. Sarah & David always have had this unmatched romantic chemistry on this show and I think it shows.

^THIS. Though I find that a lot of Xander's individual actions are questionable, relationship wise-- I think Anya helped him grow immensely. I always liked that pairing.

I actually think that the opening of season 7 showed what great potential there was for Buffy and Xander. They had both grown and changed at that point, and they were more truly adult, if the writers had wanted to go that way I really could see it happen at that point (but not before). I didn't care too much about Anya and Xander getting back together, that seemed more unreal to me, after him dumping her at the altar and her going demon again. She could've had Spike as a consolation prize instead 🙂
