This is going to get me staked right in the heart but...:

If Joss Whedon can't even keep his stories compelling and stop killing his characters via death or bad characterization, then I really do not mind a reboot by someone else.

There. I said it. Please don't hurt me D:

Well done, kiddo.

I'm came on here to say something very similar! I totally agree.

I do not entirely disagree
I was coming on here to say basically that *points up*

After what Joss has done to Season 8 I'm feeling pretty open to the idea of someone else taking over. It might not be better then Joss at his best, but I am feeling confident that it will be better than Joss at his worst.

Heres more...
-I would like to have seen Gwen and Angel hit it off 😛
-I like cordelia better on Buffy
-Faith should have been in once more with feeling
-Andrew and Anya would have been nice together 😛

Faith in OMWF would have been neat!
I don't think season 8 is terrible. So many people think season 8 has "destroyed Buffy" but I don't see it. Maybe it's that I started a few months ago... but I have enjoyed reading these comics and I'm very excited to see what's up ahead.

same here, I haven't finished season 8 but I don't think its horrible. I hope that doesn't change :)
Hmmm...

-I have wanted to slap Buffy about the head so many times when I watch this show. Watching her get the verbal smackdown from everyone at the end of "Empty Places" ( I believe that's the one) was one of the most satisfying scenes in a fair few episodes.

- I know I've said it before, not long ago, but I don't like Bangel or Spuffy as a pairing. Though I did find the end of Becoming very sad, it was well done, I think. I much prefer Angel as a character in AtS, in Buffy I found him annoying (and, y'know, his evil vampire self killed one of my favourite characters and blew apart my ship of choice 😡), and I much prefer Spike as a character when he's not "with" Buffy. I still like him in the later seasons, just not as much. Also, I'm a bit of a Spike/Dru shipper 😛

- Snyder is one of my favourite "minor/supporting" characters. Having rewatched a lot of Season 2 and 3 recently, I've noticed that I enjoy most of his scenes.

Sure I'll think of some more once I log out, it's always the way!

Agreed with all.

This. I think that Joss is an incredible writer, he's written some of my favourite episodes of all times. However, I don't think he's infallible, and I do think that he's lost some of his magic in recent years. He seems to slip into a lot of his own cliches and has become predictable. I'm still extremely wary about the Buffy reboot - but that's largely down to the loss of the supporting characters and the actors, more than the loss of Joss. A fresh perspective on the 'verse might not be the worst thing in the world.

My confession:

IMO, Dollhouse didn't get cancelled because of network interference or people are stupid and it went over their heads. It got cancelled because it wasn't very good. The characters were unengaging and it was, frankly, boring.

- Buffy got what she deserved in Empty Places. The following episodes would've been much better if she had returned and apologised for being a paranoid, hyper-controlling bitca, rather than the "Buffy (and Spike) is the only competent person in the world, all mortals should bow down to her" propaganda that we got.

- Agreed. I hate Bangel and Spuffy in equal measure.

- Snyder is one of the greatest "love to hate" characters there are.

I like Dawn...I feel so dirty saying that but it's true. Besides kicking Buffy out I thought she was a breath of fresh air for the show.

I know that Xander was meant to be the human; the heart of the group. But I personally think they kept him around to show how much more "capable" the female characters were.

I think it's stupid that every relationship that ended was because of a man.

Angel Left Buffy
Xander cheated on Cordelia
Oz slept with Veruka
Riley got it on with vamps
Xander left Anya
Warren killed Tara

Thought of a few more

While I appreciate what it meant to the story, I never saw anything inherently sweet or pure about Bangel. Seemed like an ordinary relationship between two extraordinary people. But I will say this since it's unpopular for a Spuffy. IWRY is one of my top twenty favorite episodes. But again I see it as the true end of their love story.

I like Fresley because of how inherently sweet it sounds on paper; but I believe Wesley and Faith are made for each other.

I don't want Spike and Buffy to get together anytime soon. Would much rather see Spike get some of his swagger back and ditch the damn coat.

I think Oz and Tara should have both gotten Willow...like an extremely sexy time share.

I like your last confession. I also hadn't thought about the men breaking up relationships bit...makes me think!
Here's one...

As much as I think Spike is super hot and sexy in s6, I sometimes find him too skinny. There I said it 🙂

---------- Post added at 02:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:12 PM ----------

AylaR agrees: i think he has a great body. in s7 he has gained weight though!

More like muscle 😉

SlayerOfVampyrs agrees: I agree, but FANWANK ALERRRT lol...Could that have been intentional? Like...He didn't want to eat much anymore after Buffy died? Ooo....Questions questionsssss

LMFAO 😀 That'd be pretty funny if it was intentional based on that. But I think it was more intentional for viewership, lol!

I think in earlier seasons, Spike might been a little thin/skinny when he was younger. But it seemed like as the seasons went by, he looked a little more buff.

StarSlayer
I like him best in s5-s7, but prefer the muscle as in s5 and s7 :D
Litheran
Litheran
That's funny; in s5 and s7 he was bigger; but season six was when he had the adonis physique going.
Well James said he worked out more in seasons 6 and 7. I don't think he looked to skinny at all in season 6.

Here's one. The more I think about it, the less I like Angel as a character. Not his relationships, not the show, him.

This is a confession. It really is.

- I don't feel guilty about disliking characters, episodes etc on Angel. But I feel eternally guilty on Buffy. But I still ADORE Angel.

i don't think willow is pansexual. i think she's a lesbian, although i would like her to be bi.
pansexual means she's basically open for anything and i can't see willow participating in orgies or whatever. she's way too private for that.
i've said it before and i'll say it again, i think willow just loves who she loves, whether it be a man or a woman.

Three years ago. That's when I knew. And it wasn't women, it was woman. Just one.

TheVoid68
pansexual =/= orgies. It doesn't mean you're open to anything, it means you're open to anyONE
TheVoid68 disagrees: pansexual =/= orgies. It doesn't mean you're open to anything, it means you're open to anyONE

pansexual

noun
a person who participates in (or is open to) sexual activities of many kinds

sorry TheVoid68, but you're wrong. seems to be a common misconception though

Actually:

According to the Oxford English dictionary

pansexuality - "encompasses all kinds of sexuality; not limited or inhibited in sexual choice with regards to gender or practice."

Wikipedia will tell you:

Pansexuality (also referred to as omnisexuality) is a sexual orientation, characterized by the potential for aesthetic attraction, romantic love, or sexual desire towards people, regardless of their gender identity or biological sex.

I found more examples but I won't post them, my point is that there may be more interpretations to a word than your own. Disagreeing is fine, but suggesting that others are wrong due to your own personal view point isn't very pleasant.

i was told i was wrong first. and this isn't a 'personal point of view'. it's a word and there's a definition for it.
i just hate it when people throw around big words they don't know the meaning to. if people differentiate between bi-sexuality and pan-sexuality then 'open to anyone' can't be the definition cos there's only men and women in this world and 'open to anyONE' would define both terms. so, if you want to use this 'open to anyone' then she's bi.

As defined in the Oxford English Dictionary, pansexuality "encompasses all kinds of sexuality; not limited or inhibited in sexual choice with regards to gender or practice.

logically, "practice" is the only word that makes the difference between bi and pan.

Actually, the concept that there are only men and women in the world is extremely debatable.

Again, these are your personal view points because they're your interpretations of the definition of the word. And sure there are only men and women in this world but I would say there's a difference between gender identity and biological sex.
Claiming people don't know the meaning of "big words" is a touchy matter and I simply suggest that you implement a bit more delicacy next time. 🙂
