I don't particularly like any of Buffy's relationships, but I honestly think Riley was the best boyfriend she had. Unlike wussy Angel and domineering Spike, Riley provided her with a happy medium and her time with him clearly marked the peak of her emotional stability and overall contentment. That said, I understand why people hated them together - after all, balanced relationships don't exactly make for exciting TV.

- I like Dawn a lot.
- I don't mind Connor either.
- Joyce sucks, real bad. (Except maybe when high on candy, or in scenes with Spike.)
- "The Body" is massively overrated and does very little for me.
- S5 generally has a cheap and boring feel to it, the show was close to jumping the shark there. Thankfully, the show came back with a vengeance a season later.
- In "Empty Places", there's nothing at all wrong with Dawn's actions.
- We've seen way too little of Gwen and Nina. (No naughty meaning intended. But, yeah, well, in that sense too. (sw))
- I Robot, You Jane... Inca Mummy Girl... Beer Bad: None of these is a bad episode. In fact, IMG actually is one of my faves.
- The Jasmine arc was awesome.
- I don't understand Xanya, at all.

And possibly the biggest one... Veruca was One. Sexy. Gal. Shame she got killed off.

I think we should take heart that even when we agree on something there is ALWAYS at least one thing we disagree on ;) BTW,I don't get Xanya at all either.

agree about Verruca. *Darn*, I'd totally explore my inner animal with that woman!!

I love these confessions just because I disagree with every one of them other than the ones about Dawn and they are so far from what I think. I just find it a little fun how differently people see everything. 😀

I'm not sure what opinions are popular, but...

- I liked Glory, she wasn't perfect but her back story was very interesting and was ruthlessly evil (at least in the first half lol)

- I really, really didn't like season 4

- Anya is one of the funniest characters on the show

- Dawn is a boring character...although I read many people don't like her

- Juliet Landau needed a bigger role on Buffy or Angel, she's an actress that draws all the attention to her whenever she's on screen

Totally agree about Anya being the funniest character on the show.

TOTALLY agree with the Juliet comment!
- I wish there was at least one scene with Dawn and Angel when she first appeared, like the scene with Faith and Dawn in S7 when she sees her come in the house for the first time. I think it would have been funny and awkward.

-I don't like Wesley in Buffy, but I like him more on ATVS. He gets tough and looks actually better.

-I don't like that Angel is such an animal when he loses his soul YET Spike cared about Buffy even without his soul. I thought that wasn't cool. -_- ALTHOUGH, I think it was entertaining to see him as Angelus.

-I wish they would have at least had one episode that would focus on Faiths past and justified her actions, bringing the least bit of sympathy for her. After reading "Go ask Malice" I think it would have made a great episode.

-I didn't like Riley so much after he let some vampire suck his blood.

-I didn't like the end of season 7 so much.

Totally agree with point 4!
Just finished a BTVS season 3 re-watch...and thought of some more.

- Each time I re-watch season 3 I like Faith more and Xander less.
- I liked Buffys hair best in season 3. (even with her chunky highlights)
-I cannot stand Joyce.
- I LOVE Homecoming. It is definitely one of my favorite episodes, I love the Buffy and Cordy interaction.

#1 and #4 YESSS! I think what Buffy dislikes about Cordy is that she sees part of herself in her...

Totally agree about the 'like Xander less'. First time I saw it he was my favourite character after Buffy... Every rewatch has lessened my love for him.

Totally agree about the hair - I like that it is so blonde and straight and not to long (long hair always makes her look gaunt and unhealthy in my opinion)

- I LOVE Homecoming. It is definitely one of my favorite episodes, I love the Buffy and Cordy interaction.
TOTALLY agree! I love Cordelia and Buffy interacting together and Homecoming is one of the few 'one shot' episodes that I can watch over and over again and be in hysterics the entire time.

So yeah, in general - Agreed!

Xander was my favorite the first time I watched Buffy too, funny how much things change :)
I think the execution of storylines were frequently badly paced. The speed in which Willow broke up with Oz and found she was a lesbian. The speed in which Riley and Buffy got together (she didn't need another serious bf so soon after Angel, it would have been much better had Riley just been a friend for a season or so). The speed in which Spike went from being all evil to all in love with Buffy.

Love Tara, but the speed in which they dealt with Willow's true sexuality ruined the character of Willow for me in a way.

I think Xander ended up being one of the most grounded characters in the show.

The Master could have been a bigger villain than he was, and wasn't lame/cheesey.

Buffy has some serious issues when it comes to men.

The potentials were right to mutiny against Buffy in S7 (even though I hate pretty much all of them).

Cangel made more of an impact for me than Bangel. Bangel was badly written at times IMO, to the point that it was unbelievable. Cangel on the other hand felt more real and natural. I honestly think Joss invested more time in establishing the love between Cangel than he did with Bangel.

I don't get the Andrew love. Likeable character, don't get the love for him though.

The Gift should have been the series finale.

I know I already gave you karma for this, but I want to say again how freaking true this is, especially the last part!

What's so shocking? S1 Buffy is really hot but other than that I think Willow, Tara, Jenny, Anya, Lilah, etc are hotter than her. It's Hollywood we are talking about, just about everybody in a TV series is very attractive, after all, so this doesn't mean Buffy isn't beautiful. 🙂

THANK YOU!!! :D
  • I love Joyce, I sometimes wish she was my mother.
  • After rewatching Season 3, I love Faith a whole lot more.
  • I don't find Connor and Dawn that annoying.
  • I don't get the Riley hate, sure, he was a little boring, but he wasn't that bad...
  • However, I hated Scott Hope. He annoyed me.
  • I LOVE the Giles and Wesley banter, it's hilarious.
  • I prefer Wesley much more in Angel, he's not such a wimp.
  • I love Season 8. It is a bit over-the-top, but it's still awesome.
  • Juliet Landau is a fantastic actress. I never appreciated her as Drusilla, but since re-watching Season 2, I loved her.
  • I love the heartbreaking episodes; Passion, The Body, The Gift, etc.
  • I would've liked to see Hank more.
  • I would've liked to have seen whether the Anointed One was a good Big Bad.
  • I only just found out that it was Oz, not Jenny, that was meant to be killed off in Passions.
  • Homecoming has to be one of the best Season 3 episodes, it's hilarious.

@ msfantastico87: agreed!! Buffy's gorgeous but even Darla looked quite hot vamped-out. Buffy eh, did not.

*Ethan was an awesome "villian". He would always bring out Giles badass side.

*I thought Anya's lost song was beautiful. She has a nice voice.

*When Buffy got pissed at Angel in S7 ("Omg. What are you, 12?") I cheered.

*I loved Snyder. He was a prick yes, but his insults were hilarious.

*Willow's apology in S7 was awful. "Im sorry for me going all grr..and everything going all ahhh.." I can't remember the quote but I would've thought Willow'd be more serious about what happened, instead she made it out as a silly slip-up.

*Season 7 was boring. The plot was amazing but the constant speeches, bitching, murders and everyone being all "mature" got old very quickly.

*I'm an occasional Giles/Anya shipper. 😎

I think the Tillow fandom is ruining Tillow for me.

That's really interesting. I've never heard that before. Would you mind explaining why? I'm not interested in Tillow in the slightest but I find this POV fascinating. 🙂

I've seen it in multiple places, but it's mostly them just dissing Willow and Oz's relationship (that I am a fan of too) that kind of gets to me. They're so quick to dismiss that relationship but raise hell when someone dismisses Tillow. Plus they seem to say they were soul mates or the perfect relationship and they had so much in common, but I found that the Tillow relationship wasn't like any of that and I liked it despite that.

Also, recently I think in the Batsu thread a lot of people were saying that Tillow was set up perfectly but I disagree with that a great deal. While a lot was left off of the screen due to sensors there's so much more that needed to be done before establishing them as a relationship from a friendship especially with Willow drinking and mourning Oz and then suddenly "NOPE" and some how this points to Tillow being great.

I know these seem shallow but it seems anything negative about the Tillow relationship is just cast aside but everything negative about Woz is granted and brought up constantly. I like both relationships both the bad and the good.

I also don't know if I mentioned this before but:

I think Willow and Tara's first time was in "New Moon Rising" and not "Who Are You". Considering this is all supposed to be new to Willow and it only would've been 5 episodes from when they first met and 7 (or 6) episodes since we last saw Willow mourning Oz, plus I'm betting she was still mourning Oz up until "The I in Team" which is supposed to be where Willow and Tara's relationship become romantic (and thus 3 from "Who Are you") because Tara knows all about Oz so I'm betting Willow talked to someone new who wouldn't tell her to "Get over it" like she felt her friends were saying in "Something Blue", "Who Are You" just seems waay too quick for a new-to-feelings-for-girls Willow.
