IMO Buffy was just a 16-year-old Slayer...i believe she was not so well trained...i mean the next seasons we see amazing Buffy fights!she wasn't ready!!!she may be the Slayer but she was only 16 and trying to avoid her destiny...in addition it was prophesized that she would die...i don't think a young girl could handle all this stuff...well of course our Buffy is very strong both physically and emotionally and when she saw what the vamps could do...she decided to sacrifice herself...very nice episode...very beautiful Buffy/SMG
