But the show behaved as though she was already a junkie. She referred to Rack as an old contact, and he seemed to already know her in "Wrecked". This made no sense whatsoever and seemed to exist solely to further the drug metaphor, with Amy as the "junkie friend".

I think BS6 & AS4 were seasons where big risks were taken. There was some huge payoff, but I agree the Magic Addiction plot was a bit heavy-handed. I didn't start hating Willow as some people did, but I didn't like her as much afterwords.

Dawn's the only character I'm not too invested in, I'd be extremely upset if any of the core cast died except for her, because she really doesn't add much to the story, nor is she especially sympathetic, imo.

And if we're to go by Season Eight, I think Faith & Spike are the true champions now, since Buffy & Angel are worthless, imo.

Still don't really care for Kennedy...and while I don't overtly hate them all the potentials for that matter.

Loved Oz at first...kind of glad he went away now.

Hated Spike at first...love him madly now!

Hated Wessly...he grew on me. Actually the only character on Angel I can say improved over time.

Love, hate, love, hate, hate, love, love, love Faith.

Hated Riley...now I'm kind of I meh.

I didn't think much of the Mayor when I first saw S3, now he's my favourite villain.

I think Giles has fallen a lot in my estimation. He starts off and ends off very lame indeed. But it could be that they never really knew what to do with Giles - in 144 episodes, there's like 2 Giles-centric episodes (3 if you include Band Candy I guess)

Willow is a character that lost her appeal. Though I think her progression was pretty natural, and I see the reasons for the way she turned out... I will just always prefer the shy, rather goofy Willow.

I think Xander used to piss me off... if I recall correctly. But now he is, hands down, my favorite character.

^I'm kind of sick of the Xander hate too...

Xander: I was really pissed at him for like the whole of S3 because of his actions in Becoming, Anne, and just all of his stupidity towards Angel. When watching The Zeppo, which used to be one of my favorite episodes, I just wanted to punch him! But I got over it later, and loved him just as well later on in the series! 🙂

I used to like/not mind Forrest, mainly because the actor is awesome in Heroes, but rewatching some of S4 I've realised that he's a complete a-hole. Especially in Goodbye Iowa, where he calls Buffy a freak, accuses her of killing Professor Walsh, and says that she "needing killing". What a douchebag.

I actually liked Faith in Faith Hope And Trick and Amends she wasn't so bad and then she started being mean to Buffy and killing. Then I started disliking her.

I only disliked Connor a bit i know he was brainwashed and he had reason to be mad but i found him to be annoying on him rampage with "oh i hate my father". But by the end of the series when he came for Angel in season 5 I loved him and it redeemed him to me.

Disliked Dawn the first time through. Now I want more Dawn. MOAR.

I guess this is a pretty ordinary opinion, but I really didn't like Angel in Buffy. I thought he was so lame and winey. Now I have started watching Angel (I'm only on season 1, so no spoilers please 🙂), and I like him so much! He is so adorable and funny when he tries to be all serious and keeps failing at it. I watched Sense and sensitivty a couple of days ago, and after that I totally gave in and started loving him - such a great ep, I laughed the entire time! "You know antony, you could be rainbow, and not a painbow!" LOL!
