Are there any characters you used to not like, but now do?

Or characters you used to like, but don't anymore?

For me, I didn't like Spike that much when he first came. I love him now. Same with Darla.

For the second thing, I used to have an intense love for Faith, lol, but I don't like her as much anymore.
 
I used to hate Kennedy and now I kinda like her. Willow was my favorite character, now she's barely on my top 10. 😛 I say she's my least favorite of the Core Four.
 
I initially liked Faith but now she's merely ok. I also initially really disliked Riley but now I rather enjoy his character.
 
I never liked Riley, but that was because season 5 was the first season I saw. In season 4, he's way better 😛 He's still not one of my favourites, but I can tolerate him.
 
Xander for me definitely. In the beginning he was one of my favorites, and I liked him less and less as the show progressed. Now I don't like him at all. Faith I didn't like and now I do. I like her more every time I watch.
 
I used to like Spike when he was evil in s2 and s3, I even liked him in s4!!! But then I can't say I hated him, I just felt that he doesn't appeal to me like he used to.He depended on Buffy too much. I liked him again in s5 of Angel, but no side of himself can be compared to evil Spike anymore.

I used to love Willow back in s1-3 and sometimes in s5 but of course in s6 and s7 I hated her.

I didn't like Darla so much when she first appeared but when she returned in Angel, she proved to be interesting and I liked her Connor arc.

Also, I have loved Buffy extremely up to s5. Then, sth changed. And not just the fact that she was depressed. In s7 it was clear that some aspects of herself had been permanently changed. I won't use hate, but I certainly want the good old BUffy back.She still is one of my two favourite characters.
 
I used to like Spike in season 2 and he was okay in 4 but after that ... no, thanks. Season 5 of Angel redeemed him somewhat but I'm still not too fond of him.

I hated, hated, hated Kennedy and Tara but have grown to love Tara and at least accept Kennedy.
 
I was such a Spike girl when i was younger, now i just can't be bothered with him.. lmao.
 
I used to really love Tara, and I still think that she's a sweetie, but I'm really not that interested in her anymore. 🙂

I also used to dislike Xander, but now that I've been rewatching the show, I'm totally loving him. 😀

I thought that Connor was hot and cool the VERY first time I saw him, at the end of that one episode... Now, uh, not so much (at all). 😀
 
I'm watching s2 of Angel just now & I gotta say, for years I hated Gunn. Now I kinda like the dude.

Gunn always struck me as very stereotyped, I guess I'm now seeing the layers. He's onion-y.

OK, the cliff notes version...

Willow wnet from being assured in her abilities and intelligence while retaining her humility and genuinity to being the most egotistical, arrogant and utterly unlikable individual. She believed her own hype, ALOT.

Spike I just donw't get anymore, everything about it him I find fake and put on. He looks ridiculous, the bravado is old and I just don't find him original or interesting.

I know, I know, How very dare I. 😛

As for Riley? Well he used to bug me with his big puppy dog "Please love me Buffy!" eyes but watching episodes back he is actually hilarious. His wit is incredibly endearing, very likable guy all round.

I completely agree. Though I didn't start seeing reasons to stop liking Spike until parts of AtS S5. "Believd her own hype" Great way to put it!
I hated Riley when I was first watching, but now I kinda like him. He has a lot of funny one-liners (especially in season 5) and he just seems like an all-around good guy. Plus Marc Blucas was pretty easy on the eyes after he got rid of the greasy, floppy hair.

Oh, also, I like Faith a lot more than I used to. Watching Angel might've been what made me like her, but she's a really cool character. And I'm not exactly a fan of Eliza Dushku's acting (although I must admit it did improve toward the end of Dollhouse...she was still one of the cast's weakest links, but she was better than she was at the beginning of the series and at least she was a little better than Tahmoh. Then again, at least I was able to put up with his crappy acting because he's really hot. Okay, now I'm digressing in a big way), but if there's one character she CAN play, it's definitely Faith.

I started to like Faith because her eps in Ats too :)
I'm another one who used to love Willow. I still really like her (mostly in S1-S4, but I can't stand her in S6!), I just don't like how arrogant she got. I like a lot of characters more than her now.

I never liked Angel. I thought he was so annoying, but I don't mind him anymore. He's not a favourite of mine.

I used to never think much of Oz, but now I really love him.
