If you'd ask me I'd have to say that the last episode was perfect, but it should of been atleast two hours. One, the Wood and Faith thing was cute. I think its showing that Faith can love and not just still be labeled as a psycho killer. The necklace was unique because Angel said it was only fit for a champion, thus proving Spike is a champion. But I do agree on the part when Buffy handed Faith the Scythe. That showed that Buffy believed in her and trusted her again.
I have pretty much the same views.

Personally I think S7 was the lowpoint of BtVS. Chosen makes no exception there for me.
IMHO fighting the first evil was a ridiculous idea since how The First was presented in Amends to fight it AND to win against it is totally unbelievable. It's the evil presented in mankind .. for it to manifest and be fought belittles its original thought:
"I'm not a demon. I am something that you can't even conceive. The First Evil. Beyond sin, beyond death. I am the thing the darkness fears. You'll never see me, but I am everywhere. Every being, every thought, every drop of hate." (Amends)
Buffys decision to activate every potential was stupid and reckless ... she didn't know the consequences and she forced a power on those girls that she herself rejected all her life. When she is given the choice to empowered by a demon like the first slayer by the shadow men she accuses them that they violated her .. she does nothing else when she makes that decision.
Angels crossover was unnecessary, out of character for Angel and Buffy and took valuable time from the final that would have better spend on the core characters of Buffy. I know they wanted to acknowledge that Angel was important to the show but they sacrificed continuity for that appearance.
In short, I hated the Buffy finale ...

Ok, she rejected the demons. But if she would have taken them, then she would have turned out like The First Slayer. It's a decision you have to make to save others.She didnt force power. Uhm we are not only talking about the few potentials that were with Buffy, we are talking about all existing potentials around the world and even every potential being born as such. The effects of that decision can be seen in AtS Damage.Ok, she rejected the demons. But if she would have taken them, then she would have turned out like The First Slayer. About the shadow men: Since Buffy was the slayer she already contained the slayer demons essence, as I understood it, the slayers powers are indeed rooted in darkness, they are rooted in this ancient ritual the shadow men forced upon the First Slayer and thus on every activated potential that came after.
Uhm being himself and getting a life isn't unimportant to Angel but it should by no means his priority ... redeeming his soul should be and rightly so. "We don't belong to us, we belong in the world, fighting" (Angel, Hero). I didn't really care much for the finale. I mean, White Magic Willow was awesome but aside from that and the spiffy scythe, there wasn't really anything interesting about the finale. I don't think it was the kind of ending the show deserved. The way they killed Anya off was HORRIBLE, keeping the Potentials sucked and having it just end with Buffy smiling and everything all...overly happy was terrible. Season 7 was alright, but the finale just made it worse.

Okay, may be off-topic, but Willow with white hairs didn't appeal to me much. I expected her to be dark-haired or grow hair suddenly and look alike Willow Season 1 or 2.

I didn't expect much at all to happen to her hair, but I agree that the white hair thing really surprised me the first time I saw it.. Now I've started thinking it was kind of cool but, at first I really didn't think it worked..Okay, may be off-topic, but Willow with white hairs didn't appeal to me much. I think that the ending was kinda sad because when the end came sunnydale was gone and then half of sunnydale people was dead

"Chosen?" HAAAATE. People go on about the "girl power message" of the finale, which...wasn't there. Notice that in the end, it wasn't Buffy and the potentials who saved the world. It was Spike, via an amulet sent by Angel, and it's pointed out many times that Buffy needs a "champion" to wear it. So much for girl power. The message I got from that was no matter how strong Buffy is, she still needs a big strong man to protect her. Ugh. And of course, in the end, it's All.About.Spike, with the sun LITERALLY shining out of his ass. Grr, arg!

Tough question... well I was gutted cause the show ended full stop... I mean Buffy played a huge part of my Thursday night (here in the UK) ritual... Sky One.. I get the remote for the TV for once... and when it did end I seriously wanted to cry.. that was until I fell off the sofa.. not sure why now.. and kinda knocked some sense into myself.
For me, I just think that Season 7 didnt give me the closure I wanted from the show... I mean you really have to look at the big picture when it comes to the end... for teh other 6 seasons it was singularly the 'Scooby Gang'... and at the end of Season 7.. it was like season 4 again... a whole new surrounding (i.e. Sunnydale as a big ditch) and a whole new outcast on the future. I mean in Buffy us as fans also had to accept in the earlier seasons that this was Buffy's fate and then in Season 7 that changes leaving this huge window of opportunity... for me the end of season wasnt closure and I just felt like it should have returned... I dont really know why that is.
