Fool for Love
Using someone who's in love with you and while you aren't is DEFINITELY NOT acceptable.
Yeah. I agree. I think both of us have been saying this all along and I guess some people just don't agree. I really take issue with Buffy using Satsu like this. Forget the put of character or in character thing, of which it is out, and focus on whether Buffy's actions are even at all justifiable.
The way I see it, it wasn't Buffy's mistake. It was more of Satsu's. Buffy told her that she wasn't in love with her, but Satsu still slept with Buffy. And Satsu KNEW why Buffy went along with it.
No. Buffy was the one with all of the emotional capitol and though I agree that it was stupid for Satsu to sleep with her, the blame lies with Buffy who used someone who loved her.
Just because someone hits a point in their life where they have probably found who they really are, DOESN'T mean that they're going to be perfect from now on. Yes, Buffy in "Chosen" was a matured and smarter Buffy, but that doesn't mean that she's DONE maturing. All through our lives we make mistakes, even the same ones twice, but we learn from them. And still we continue to make mistakes and bad choices.
I agree. I think Buffy will continue to make mistakes. I do. We all do, but that doesn't mean that we can just write it off as such. This was a big mistake and she is a repeat offender. However, in response to that I feel the need to point out that I don't understand WHY Buffy is making this mistake and the way the arch way carried out doesn't allow the reader to gain a sense of empathy when it comes to Buffy and her bad decision.
