do you want kids?
do you have kids?
how much?
and why do you want kids (or not)

i have to begin😛
i have no kids, because i don't want to.
but i do love kids, and usually they love me too. i don't see myself as a mother, and babies don't move me.

Yes I do want children, a whole bunch of them, but I guess unless I finally get a boyfriend at some point it's looking very bleak.

When I was younger I always imagined myself having children at like 25. I still think that's a good age, but like I already wrote above...

you changed your name AGAIN. confuse me, ma'm, confuse me! :p
Nope I don't want any kids, nor will I ever. 😛 Honestly, they suck time and money, and I would never want the stress that comes along with the immense responsibility. Plus, as a kiddo myself, I definitely know how insanely annoying kids are! 😉

BABIESSSSS! Tiny babies.
I have two girls and I am DONE. LOL I don't want any more. Maybe I'm selfish, but I miss "me time" sooooooo much. My youngest is almost 3, so I'm almost to the point where I can send both girls upstairs to entertain themselves and get out of my hair for a little bit, so I don't want to go back to having someone depending on me for EVERYTHING again right now.

I don't have any children, but I am a nanny. I take care of 5 kids (all under 5 😱 ) I love them all and enjoy taking care of them but they are a handful. I want children in the future, but not any time soon. (and I definitely wouldn't have 5)

5 under 5?! Wow.
I have one son (though I was pregnant before having him) right now named Jonathan Clarke, he's 2 and a half years old and A HANDFUL lol. Lets just say I used to want 3 kids... now i'm happy with just him for a while. Maybe when he is about 6 i'll try for another baby hopefully a girl but i'd be happy for either cause they are blessings they really are. I love kids they are wonderful and exciting and always learning

You were pregnant before having him, AB? That's usually how it works LOL. ;)
No!
My older brother just had a daughter earlier this year and she's perfect 🙂
but I can't imagine being responsible for a baby like that... and I think most kids are just evil loud creatures and I don't want them anywhere near me...

A few years ago I would have said no. Now I'm leaning towards yes. Not now, but maybe when I'm 30. I want to adopt though.

I do want kids. I love children! And children love me! I think it's because i'm a big kid at heart 😛

However, there is a slight flaw with my plan to have a child...I am very picky!

I really do want a child. I've wanted one for some time. I have a 8 year old sister. My Mom works two hours away so after she had her, her first three years I learned the ropes. One of my biggest fears though is that I don't really want a partner and adoption agencys give married, hetero couples a hard time. I really don't stand a chance.

Surrogacy?
Until very recently I would have replied to this question with an emphatic yes, but lately I have been reconsidering it. My sister has two children: a girl who just turn 12 and a boy who is hitting on the 8 month mark. I love them both dearly. In fact, I spend the majority of my time with them (just put the little fella to bed actually lol) but I must say that I equally enjoy being able to hand them back.

I can't see myself wanting kids during my twenties, maybe not even during my thirties. From what I can see and have been told by parents, the older and wiser you are having kids, the better you will be at parenting and the happier they will be for your wisdom and experience.

So, I'm gonna wait until I feel I won't screw a child up immeasurably before I make the decision. I have a feeling I will end up going down the adoption route when I'm about 45! lol

and why do you want kids (or not)

I like kids. Most of the time. I work with kids (age 5 and up) and I wouldn't want another job. But when I come home I'm happy that I don't have to take care of anyone but me or a girlfriend. I'm too exhausted and kids deserve nothing but the best and as it feels I wouldn't be able to give it to them. Not that I think I would be an awful parent or anything.

If I ever get kids (not likely) I'm sure I'll love them more than anything and do my best to give them a good upbring. Which in no way = they get everything they want.

Having a kid can sometimes help you grow up and maybe I could have used that earlier in my life but it isn't until very recently I even considered myself to be even close to be in the right state to become a father.

How much my feelings for having kids, or not having kids, have been affected by the lack of someone to get them with I don't know. But no matter the reason, I've never felt I "needed" to have kids.

I'm also one of "You need to have a licence for driving a car, to drink, in many countries even to have a dog but anyone (well more or less) is allowed to have and raise a child. That sounds sane..." kind of people. So I don't take becoming a parent lightly.

Now before you go all crazy, I know there's loads and loads of great parents, even more who do the best way can. No matter if they planned to become parents or not. I just see too many that shouldn't be near kids all together and it hurts me so much when I see kids/people suffer from it.

I want kids. But not for about another 5-6 years. 27/28 sounds good to have kids to me. I want twins, tbh. I am a twin, and boy/girl twins would be fantastic. James Oliver for a boy, and Pearl Rose for a girl. Pearl is a family name, and I love it. James is my older brother's name. He's done a lot for me. Also my grandfather's name.

I actually was about to last year with a lesbian friend. Things got really bad really quick. I have been feeling other people out, but there is no nice way to bring it up.

Sorry people, I still don't know how to respond to comments.

Definite no from me. I don't think my genes should be further spread into the gene pool. Besides, I think the traditional production method is very yucky indeed. 😛

Yeah, it's not exactly a conversation starter. There's always agencies you could try. Might be safer that way. You hear horror stories of custody battles or even kidnappings. Extreme situations, I know. But still, enough to give pause.
