I dont have notifications on and never have. (I wouldnt know how to turn them on... )
Problem being, if people cant contact me... they used to call the police. My phone would be out of battery more often than not. Nokia used to be charged for 3 days with heavy use. Whats with their flimsy chargers too? I pulled one too hard (not hard) and it broke. Legit one. I go for the cheapies now, they break too, but I dont care so much.
I dont play games - the damn thing doesnt have enough memory for the few things I do have on it! (shh about the 3000 photos, I cant navigate itunes or the cloud either).
The updates drive me nuts! I hate it reminding me and telling me, all I wanted was something to read on the loo, not having press a bunch of tell me laters or agree, approve of stuff I dont even understand.
I've never been a fan of touch screen stuff, my hands sweat and its hard to use. I prefer my laptop but it feels so bulky over my tablet. But the tablet feels too long compared to the iphone for walking... Soon it'll probably be all voice command anyway, or eye movements, or chips in the brain.
The more I think on it, the more I want to send a mass message out with my email and cancel the phone all together. It would be cheaper than trying to find one to fit my needs and much easier. I know I have been disconnected a long time, whats one more step of separation? I tend to go down this road and realise I need the phone to be able to claim some services, and many of my appointments dont communicate any other way.
Its common now for people not to "talk" on the phone anyway.
