Dr. Who - may contain spoilers for US viewers :)

I havent seen every episode of dr who ever, but I watched more of the old ones than I have of the recent ones and I gotta say NOT liking Tennent. I prefer him to Eccleson who I found to be quite frankly AWFUL, but Tennent has yet to impress.

Tom Baker IS Dr who for me. With Sylvester Mcoy coming in close second!!!!!
 
Wow, a big affirmative from me on the K9 love. "We are in a car" was the advice, 'you are an idiot' was the sentiment. SO fricken funny.

I don't really like the new Doctor.
I liked the old one, I had just gotten used to him when they killed him off.

I adored this weeks ep... I'm even starting to like Mickey... SO much love for this show, I have. 😀
 
Ohhh man, this episode was so funny.
I loved its humour, the set pieces were brill and yeah, even Mickey is growing on me.

Though i can't lie, my anticipation is off the scale for next week

i'm so excited, this show just gets better and better...though i still think we need more Sarcastic K9

Me and the grandson really liked the Cybermen in this week's ep...they were like C3P0's really hard, not camp brothers...🙂
 
I finally caught up with you guys. That was really clever how they set the cybermen ep in an alternative reality that was both contempory, and retro. If they hadn't done that we would have had to compare the cybermen to other cyborgs we've seen since the old series in other media, and the cybermen would look cheesy by comparison instead of retro hip.

I have some questions for those of you who might know the whole series. I thought K-9 just kind of took off with Romana. I don't remember him being damaged. What happened there? How did Sarah Jane get him. Oh, and now that we have a new, improved K-9, he'll probably make a re-appearance, don't you think...he should.

Romana can't come back, because she's a time-lord, and the time-lord's are all dead now, right? What about The Master. I can't remember. Was he a Time-lord? Did he die in the old series? He was the doctor's arch-nemesis, right?

With the re-appearance of the cybermen they've pretty much run out of old enemies, or companions that really need to be brought back, don't you think?

The K9 that Sarah Jane had was Mark III. The original (built by Professor Marius) was the one that went with Romana (I think) but the Doctor has built at least three other versions (including the latest)

Yea, the Master was a Time Lord and he was killed in the TV movie that featured Paul McGann as the Doctor...having said that these Time Lords have a habit of regenerating from time to time, so don't write them off just yet 😉

I think you're right but that doesn't stop me from wanting to see Jo or the Brigadier one more time 🙂
 
im going to by dvds on weds hopfully, never seen the dr since well i was little so memmorys not fresh, but more darleks please 😀
