Faith, and the Fitzgerald sister theory.

Well I am an oddball, and may just throw a wrench in your whole theory.

I'm the older sister of one brother, and I am also 23 (older than your given age range), but I am definitely a Faith fan.
I see faith as misunderstood, neglected, and not bad, but guilty of making bad decisions by default.
I think if buffy hadn't been so self absorbed, that faith's downfall could have been avoided. I always thought that faith was trying to do the best she could, and the betrayal from buffy confused and hurt her. Though I can relate to Buffy, I think she was a bit of a whiner, unlike Faith who embraced her role as a slayer. Truthfully I think Faith would have been an amazing slayer (better than buffy even) if she hadn't been handed the short end of the stick her whole life. And I agree with what someone previously posted, why didn't Joyce or Giles do anything for Faith? I think faith's entire situation was the fault of everyone in the "˜gang' for ignoring her circumstances, and not caring enough about her to give her any guidance.

I think I basically relate to Faith more because of her hard knock life (unlike buffy's rather privileged life), and because she is a bit rough around the edges socially, though she tries her best to do the right thing, she makes mistakes. Plus she's a brunette, lol. Those things are just more real to me than, Buffy's prissy valley-girl mentality.

I'm about to back you up, Faithy.

Yea, okay, age range? About correct for me. I'm seventeen and and older sister to a fourteen-year-old. And it could be said that I'm a little bit of a Faith fan. Compared to Buffy, anyway.

Buffy is haughty. She's guided by this moral compass that decrees that if it's not what she's doing, it's not right. And in a show where one of key lessons they teach us that the world is gigantic ball of grey, I always found that at least slightly amusing.

She won't ever, in the history of evers, let Faith forget what she did. And Faith can apologize and beg and grovel and be the Lionheart all she damn well pleases, and it will gain no accolades with Buffy. Because Faith is wrong. Faith is just a b-tch that tried to find her place in the world, and God forbid she have any feelings or any motivations whatsoever.

And the thing that really, really, sincerely pisses me of to the max extent? Faith gets proven wrong. Buffy is the goddess, the warrior of the light, the Champion. When Faith tries to do what's right by stepping on Buffy's toes [I'm thinking 'Empty Places' and 'Touched' here], which I'm thinking is what she has to do in order to be the Slayer, consdiering Buffy is so gung-ho about being the only one, she get's b-tch smacked and reprimanded. Because she thought she was doing what was right. No wonder why she went evil.

And that concludes a lengthy and somewhat angry rant by me. Later.

Well, this thread hasn't done much for my theory, but has exposed some fellow hardcore Faithites, which is always nice.

Hmm. I'm looking at my subscribed threads at the mo' and nearly every single on has Faith in the title. I think I might need professional help?
