Favorite Forgotten Movies

Anybody ever seen the movie Clockwatchers... it makes anybody into a Parker Posey fan.

Anyone remember that movie "Beverly Hills Troop"?

I thought that was pretty cool when i was younger.

Dolphin,
"Big Trouble in Little China" - brilliant film. I'd forgotten that one. I remember loving it the first time I saw it - my housemate hired the video 'cos he thought it would be a laugh.

Mind you. I do tend to like anything of the tongue-in-cheek,four-colour-comic-book persuasion😉 - hence liking the Tarantino (just heard from my son's partner that "Kill Bill" is a must-see)

I forgot about Blue Lagoon! I luved that movie and the Return to Blue Lagoon. I have rented that one so many times, but still have not bought.....thanks for the memory carlyh!

Please, don't stone me to death. 😛

Holy ****, DarkKnut! I loved that movie!

They look like good strong hands, don't they
Gotta love a dude named Rock Biter! 🙂

I used to yell To the winch wench! at my sister all the time. Oddly, I found this much more amusing than she did.

"That's the trouble with magic swords, when you need them, they go on strike!"

I just remind another one, ok for kids but I am one, (kinda, lol)
Mathilda !!!
This one is just so funny & Mathilda's power r so unseful ! lol

Good one Frenchy. Those Roald Dahl stories do make good kids' films for adults don't they?

Absolutely !!!
And the kid who plays Mathilda is so nice, lol, does anyone know if she still plays now ? I guess she grew up !

Shirley Valentine- a total classic "hello rock"!!!
Strictly Ballroom- Great aussie film often overshadowed by Muriels Wedding. Personally, i think strictly is loads better.

"Spinal Tap" and "Shirley Valentine". You people have got good taste. I'm being reminded of some of my all-time faves. Did I mention "The Committments"? - if not I should've.

Inspired thread LD

Yeah this thread is thew best there's been on here in a while, i keep coming back to this one! Taped the Wicker Man off channel 4 the other nite and am looking forward to sitting down and watching it!
Cube-thats quite weird but good in the same way.

My fave forgotten movie that hasn't been mentioned yet is:-

Fried Green Tonatoes at the Whistle Stop Café

Love this film to death especially the scene in the car park where Kathy Bates bashes into the young girls car that has just nicked the space she was waiting for, and she retorts something like 'Lets face it girls, I'm older and I have more insurance!' - absolutely brilliant film but normally I get blank looks when I mention it...

Amongst my others would have been, The Last Unicorn, Legend, The Dark Crystal, Willow, Labyrinth, Big Trouble in Little China, Near Dark, The Goonies, Strictly Ballroom, Salem's Lot, The Color Purple, Children of the Corn, Project X, Ferris Buellers Day Off, Grumpy Old Men, The Never Ending Story, and there are probably loads more if I really sat and thought about it.
