i know it as switchblade romance (im in the uk) GREAT MOVIE!!!!!
I love horror films.

I think Scream is my favourite. Not only is it awesome for a horror film, but is just such a darn clever film.

The Halloween (the first few at least) are awesome. I liked the first Jeepers Creepers.

Psycho is still one of the best, if you ask me.

Other than that, I don't think people know how to write horror films any more.

George Romero - loved Diary of the Dead (waiting on Survival of the Dead...obvs i love Night and Dawn and Day, but for my generation actually being old enough to go see it I loved Diary)
tnp1010028kk7.jpg

By then i found he had came full circle, like at first he was against the media, and by 2007 everyone has a voice via the internet.

Debra: Jason once said he thought he could help, maybe even save some lives. This is the last thing he downloaded before he died: a couple of hometown Joes who went out to shoot at targets. But that day, they used people. Dead people. You know, just for fun? There was one target that was different from the rest. A woman... tied by her hair to the branch of a tree. The boys had this one set up just for kicks. They got out their favorite 12 gauge and...
[zombie's head is blown in half]
Debra: Are we worth saving? You tell me.

OOOh the first Ginger Snaps... not so much the others.

I wish the Pang Brothers would do something interesting again. as well as Takashi Shimizu

I love when Takashi Miike turns his hand to horror (especially Happiness of the Katakuris (remake of the equally great The Quiet Family) -- nice musical numbers with zombies. (sw)

Cube is awesome in a mind fracking way but i love the trap rooms, probs why i love Saw series so much, especially the Amanda-centric Saw 3.
Amanda: [casually threatens Lynn with a knife] Are you gonna behave?
amandaifhediesyoudie.gif

Final Destination and both Black Christmas's, yes i like the remake, loved the back story and the claustrophobic feel to it, not sure why that movie gets so much hate.

013_behold.png
ROB ZOMBIE and his Texas Chainsaw Massacre style movies (as well as TCM series... especially the first. "Look what your brother did to the door!"
449651070l7mm9li.gif

I loved 'Black Sheep', 'Slither', 'May', 'The Cottage' 'Evil Aliens' and 'Dead and Breakfast' (comedy horrors again, some singing rednecks with zombies)

Candyman is sexy and scary... Clive Barker is awesome (I love Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 the most out of that series, it makes no sense and is awesome)

Wickerman creeps me out.

I like Chucky when he got a wife and kid, the early ones bore me.

Lost Boys is so gooooood!!

The main problem with modern "horror," is that it depends on special effects and utterly stupid victims who would still be alive if they just noticed what was going on around them.
I prefer the classics, with actors like Karloff, Lugosi, and Chaney, back when the actors had to scare their audiences using their acting abilities more than elaborate prosthetics and computer generated images. Lugosi could set a chill running up your spine simply by saying, "I never drink...wine." Freddie, Jason, Michael, and all of their ilk are barely shadows of the REAL horror stars.

Hellraiser karma. That film is sick
Okay, I'm too dead scared to watch most horror movies! I don't like the dark, and these movies don't really help at all with that. And everyone in my family has this very lively phantasy, so non of us actually likes horror movies cos they haunt us for ages.
The only one I can more or less stand is the Scream trilogy. It's probably because it's a bit parody like and pretty much a teen film. Other than that, I go out of my way to avoid horror movies.

Ugh. I just remembered the horror that is the Black Christmas remake. Not horror as in scary, horror as in disgusting and hideous. Sorry, Michelle, I love you, but no.
