Favorite Sarah Michelle Gellar Film?

Ah me and my big sis's Bf were having an argument about Smgs acting skills last night.
he's like she's a crap actress she can act in a sort of cheesy way, and my sis was agreeing, then i was like 'well eh obviously you haven't saw the body then?!!
He kept going on about the crappy films she was in, i was like ' eh well how the hell is she gonna act if she gets crappy roles to PLAY!!!!!?

Well, actually....you know they were in more than one movie together, right? I'm assuming you're talking about Cruel Intentions, but they were also together in I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Yeah I know I have all her movies at home, but they are just do good in Cruel Intentions :D

I've seen it. It had balls, but it still sucked. Mainly because of the presence of Reese Witherspoon. Anything with Reese Witherspoon in is mediocre at best.
 
I was watching I know what you did last summer last night, i forgot that smg was actually in it for a while, i always thought that she got killed at the beginning for some weird reason, i can't really take her serious, obviously because she plays ' a dumb blonde' in it, and of course becuase of damn scary movie, Lmfao,
It is a bit cheesy.

What? I think her character was deeper than that. She was sad a lot.
 
I agree with Min. She had a deeper role then dumb blonde. Karen from Mean Girls is dumb blonde, but I think Helen was much much more when you look at bigger picture. Well so was Karen 😀
 
Cruel intentions is definitely the favorite, i was so excited when it came out and it didn't disappoint. I love the character of Kathryn
 
Scooby Doo. I had a huge obsession with the cartoon when I was younger and I went completely ecstatic when I found out there was gunna be a live-action film. When I found out that SMG was in it when I first starting getting obsessed with Buffy a couple of years ago, it just made the film better for me. Probably cause it gave me the chance to compare Daphne and Buffy....
 
Cruel Intentions! I love that movie. SMG is so fantastic as Kathryn.
Suburban Girl was only fun because Sarah was in it, if you ask me. If another actresse would have played Brett, I dunno if I would have liked the movie.
 
I Know What You Did Last Summer - absolutely loved this movie when I was younger, basically a guilty pleasure now

Scream 2 - Hated it. Only Scream to watch is the first one.

Cruel Intentions - One of my favorite movies. Love Ryan Phillippe and SMG in it.

Scooby Doo 1 & 2- They're fun to watch but I wouldn't say I like them.

The Grudge - It was alright. I did like SMG in it, just didn't really like the overall movie.

Grudge 2 - Absolutely hated it.

The Return - I don't even think I got through the entire movie, and if I did, I wasn't paying attention. I'm sure it was good, it just couldn't keep me interested.

Pretty much all of her movies are guilty pleasures to me.
Anything with SMG in it usually perks my interested, but I won't probably spend money on it. However, if it's on TV, I'll definitely stop and watch.

I do really want to see The Air I Breathe, Southland Tales, and Veronika Decides to Die.
I read VDtD back in my senior year and loved it.
 
Simply Irresistable and Cruel Intentions. I love them equally for entirely different reasons. Simply is so romantic and so lovely to watch (and a great soundtrack) that it totally and utterly appeals to me romantic side and then Cruel Intentions is just such a cool remake of Dangerous Liasons and everyone in it, especially Sarah, is so fab.
I also like the Scooby Doo movies despite the fact my friends have mocked me for it continuously. The Grudge was okay but I'm no judge as I don't really like scary movies.

I never heard someone saying Simply Irresistible is their fav Sarah movie because most of people find it bad. I liked it 🙂
 
SMG is gorgeous in Cruel Intentions. It baffles me why Ryan Philippe ends up with the other girl. If i'am honest i haven't seen a lot of her films which is annoying. I've noticed that especially recently her films haven't done too well, i hope that when she comes back to work she'll have a good film to work with.

I agree!

Simply Irresistable is an incredibly sweet movie... I think it deserves more love than it gets.

And Sarah was amazing in Cruel Intentions. The very last scene at the church is some amazing acting.

I'm realling looking forward to her newest role in "Veronika Decides to Die"... it looks like it will be good. She's such a phenominal actress, I'm surprised she hasn't done more (or, rather, had more opportunities) to garner oscar buz.

BtVS is just the tip of the iceberg.
