I've come to a conclusion that...

ANYA'S NOT DEAD

SHE'S JUST SLEEPING

Yeah, I like that. She was just chillin' at my place sleeping. Now she's with you and all happy! :D

I approve of this conclusion. Xander needs to kiss her and wake her up. :)
It seemed that no one was even sad that she died. That kinda pissed me off, after she gave up her life for Andrew. Even Xander did not greve! They were going to get married! You just don't stop caring for a person once they leave you, and you are toghter for that long.

That made me think of "you don't just wake up one day and stop loving someone!" but I personally think he was kind of in shock and not really believing what happened yet... I don't know...
I was gutted when Anya was killed...and Kennedy lived!

Agreed. Season 7 in general was a poor season (IMO), Joss made a lot of poor decisions and it showed. Seriously, killing Anya with no one caring and making Giles irrelevant...how did the writers of Buffy, who have all done amazing work in the previous 6 seasons, come to the conclusion that these were good ideas?

i was happy with the way it was done. i agree with previous posts that it was a battle scene and a fitting end for the way her character had developed. obviously wish no one had died but that wouldn't really be realistic :L

I didn't like it..no one even cared except for Xander. Anya was one of my favs on the show and it was not the best way to got out..Saving Andrew??..come on now.

I was mad when she died. She was one of the best characters, and definitely one of the most likeable. Her death was so sudden and only took two seconds and then BAM they move on with the scene. I mean, I understand a lot was going on, but they could have at least made it more dramatic, maybe with Xander leaning over her as she died or something. There was no emotion when there should have been. 🙁

I was upset that she died definitely, however I think the way she left was the way I thought was right! She was in the heat of battle, protecting someone. I think it truly shows how selfless she really is.

Also I think her death matched her personality. It was blunt and too the point, and I think even though I hated her dying, she was my favourite character. The way she went was probably the best way Joss could have done it. There was emotion, but everyone knew that people were gonna die and I don't think Joss allowing Xander to grieve over her body or spend ages searching for it would have been realistic in that moment.
