Saw my neighbour on walkies while I was with Harmony. Her huntaway cross dog tried to eat harmony and she belted it with her walking stick 😂 Next time I will make sure to take a different road if I see them, my neighbour is like 89 years old and doesnt need her dog to be lunging about like that. Shes stronger than me tho! I struggle holding a toy poodle!

Lilahs walk was eventful too. There were shire men working at the park. She hates men in hi vis clothes. My plan was just to do my stretching there and not fight Lilah's bouncing the whole way around the park. It was good training for her to ignore the men and just do sniffies and climbing on rocks instead. She was very very very good and only did a few whines. The men were fixing the brand new retic that keeps flooding. Hopefully they were gona clean the graffiti off the play ground too. Its hilarious cos its very young kids who are doing it, and all they know how to do is write their full name on everything 🤣

Now I am fighting for space on the couch. I washed the hallway rug and forgot how heavy that thing gets when it is wet. Hurt my back again lol. Two dogs are trying to sit in my spot directly under the air con. If i get up for lunch I will lose my spot for sure!
 
My dog is very happy because he got to play with his two best friends, both poodles, today and it is so much fun to see them play.

They’re not toy poodles though, we only know one of those and he is hilarious and sweet, but we only go for walks with them. Even if he and my dog are pals, they can’t play since mine could easily hurt him without intending to do so. Otherwise I might’ve gotten a toy poodle myself, as he is quite the character.

Looking forward to more dog play tomorrow as we’re gonna dogsit.

Blissful day today! A storm has rolled over at sunset. I raced around to open all the windows up and let the cool air in. There is even a light sprinkle of rain. Smells wonderful, fresh rain on old dust.
 
It's too cold for me to shower at the moment. I am NOT removing my fluffy robe and socks for ANYTHING. Not yet, at least!

Rain is due tomorrow. I'm stocked up on microwave popcorn, Cheetos, and other fun stuff.

Roller blading is still thing in my life, buy hey, I'm still living like it's 1999, lol.
I still have my old 90s rollerblades. I have not used them this year yet because it's been cold and I don't want to go outside. I plan to rollerblade along the river in the spring though.

I'm so excited I can join in discussing our dogs! I have a puppy now! I rescued her, someone had abandoned her. She's about 12 weeks, not sure of breed, maybe Chow Chow/Lab. I love her already!

Agree! Or not, if you're like me and run a bath then get distracted by your new puppy and it almost overflows...oof.

Took my dog for a walk finally after so many days of rain. More rain supposed to hit today. Going to do a couple errands. All good though.

Mostly, yes. Interesting enough, it also had an old internet bit circulating for years (presented as breaking news) of "time travelers in the early 20th century" (caught in photos, supposedly with an iphone taking pix, which makes me wonder, beyond taking a pic, would such phones even work back then?)

It even had more on Oswald (something about him having been a brutal wife beater). Though also current, there was a lot of gossip on celebrities from decades ago (one calling a celebrity "washed up" with an unflattering modern photo of her--it was generally about as mean-spirited as middle school, and didn't even try to hide it despite all the religious theme items they were selling in the ads). Heh, even when being fairly kind in their gossip, it was over the top, like calling one celebrity couple who broke up as cougar (older woman) and crooner, all easily imagined as whispered in your ear than respectable journalism.

Not that respectable journalism exists in even decent quantities today (unless you count only the profits it generates). But it was still a nice break from political BS, even if there was an article on why the Queen hated Trump, but even that sounded more like social gossip talking about his boorish behavior around her and some tweets so someone a hundred years from now might not have even realized he'd been President.

There was a "singles section" in which virtually everyone was about retirement age (I think one man was 81). It's possible that they were all older because younger people use dating apps, but I got a very strong feeling from the stories and all the ads that their target audience is that age. I wonder if Globe will survive that generation passing away...

I can't look anything up, I've already tossed it in the recycling bin and it's gone. At least my curiosity about its popularity is satisfied.
 
It was going great until I got an alert that my home alarm went off. Someone tried to break in!

Luckily the morons were unsuccessful and I have a lot in place to prevent that, but yeesh. I’ve never had problems with that before. Very scary, tbh. 😵‍💫

A neighbor I used to have always told her home security company AND police when she was going on vacation so they could keep especially close watch, and she got burgled every time. I didn't do that and haven't. Coincidence?
