Good day today. The internet was down for 9 hours, apparently a planned upgrade they didn't bother telling me about, but I had mobile data to check the status, so once I saw it was scheduled it was all good, no stress about how to fix it.
I am so proud of my dog, this morning on walkies one of the shire workers wearing a high vis uniform and carrying a big noisy blower machine wanted to say hi to her. She HATES men in high vis, especially after that methhead got all threatening towards me (shes extremely protective of me) usually she loses the plot barking at men. But today she approached the guy happily with a happy tail, bouncing and pleased, no barking or being scared at all. Im starting to think she is just a good judge of character and knew this guy was ok. I told him hes doing a fabulous job of maintaining the playground and the he said the shire fired everyone except him and the other lady I have seen around town. Those two are doing a far better job than that whole old team of 6 used to! My dog just sat by my side happy with herself while we had a chat. It is amazing that just the two of them are maintaining the town to a much higher standard than a whole trained team did. I hope the shire is paying them well and giving them enough holidays so they dont burn out. I cant see many people being keen to work as hard as they do in 40C heat.
Its supposed to be 7C hotter tomorrow!! I hope it doesn't get that high, because sunday will be hot again. The heat has killed off all the bugs, so it was quite lovely outside at sunset. I got a fair few jobs done in the garden. The orchard and hedges and lawn got a real good water, so I think they'll survive fine.
