How Was Your Day?

Good day today. The internet was down for 9 hours, apparently a planned upgrade they didn't bother telling me about, but I had mobile data to check the status, so once I saw it was scheduled it was all good, no stress about how to fix it.

I am so proud of my dog, this morning on walkies one of the shire workers wearing a high vis uniform and carrying a big noisy blower machine wanted to say hi to her. She HATES men in high vis, especially after that methhead got all threatening towards me (shes extremely protective of me) usually she loses the plot barking at men. But today she approached the guy happily with a happy tail, bouncing and pleased, no barking or being scared at all. Im starting to think she is just a good judge of character and knew this guy was ok. I told him hes doing a fabulous job of maintaining the playground and the he said the shire fired everyone except him and the other lady I have seen around town. Those two are doing a far better job than that whole old team of 6 used to! My dog just sat by my side happy with herself while we had a chat. It is amazing that just the two of them are maintaining the town to a much higher standard than a whole trained team did. I hope the shire is paying them well and giving them enough holidays so they dont burn out. I cant see many people being keen to work as hard as they do in 40C heat.

Its supposed to be 7C hotter tomorrow!! I hope it doesn't get that high, because sunday will be hot again. The heat has killed off all the bugs, so it was quite lovely outside at sunset. I got a fair few jobs done in the garden. The orchard and hedges and lawn got a real good water, so I think they'll survive fine.

Bad day, too hot. Poor dogs got barely any outside time and then the power went off when the heat peaked. That started a town wide piss up, which is still going on at the pub, with drums.

I dont mind the late night music, its rare and its a crappy night to be stuck in a hot house. Now that the power is back, I much prefer blasting the aircon after a cold shower rather than buying a hangover. Probably cost the same in the end lol.

Definitely old now.

Haha. The bi-weekly security report here mentioned three complaints about loud music. BUT....it also said, "The responding officer determined that the volume was at an acceptable level for the time of day, on all three occasions." Haha!

When I got the security report out of the mailbox, I read it carefully....and stood out there laughing like a complete lunatic. Then at the top of my voice, I said, "Suck it, bitches!" 😄 Everyone here gets that report, including the people who complained about my music. In fact, four of them live very close to me. Close enough to hear my maniacal laughter and gloating. ☺️

So to my neighbours:

ya big meanie! 😃
It's the start of reading weekkkkk!!!!!! I am very excited for lots of rest!!!!!

Even though I'm usually only in uni for two days a week.

I walked with a friend in a large, park-like cemetery, and saw two coyotes, which we had seen before there. I hope they're keeping the rabbit population in check.

I was bummed to discover that some old video games of TV shows had gotten moldy. It's to be expected, and I haven't watched them in years, but I still hated to throw them out.

Im wrecked. Did so much house and garden work today. Washed the dogs too.

Tried to off load some pears to the grocery delivery dude but he wasnt keen, he stood around for a chat for ages tho. I should have let the dogs out haha.

Sausage rolls in the oven now. I think I bulked them up with too much carrot, but we'll see how they taste when they are done. I should have blitzed some beans in for bulk but didnt think of it til they were already rolled. Oh well, next time.

So tired, did more cleaning this morning ready for this investor guy to come this afternoon.

Forgot to make my cup of tea to take to work, got a wet foot on the way to work.

Now waiting for the bt engineer to come this afternoon, and hopefully it'll be a quick changeover of equipment as he might have to switch the internet off and the till/card machine runs on wifi.

Actually slept for seven hours last night. So I woke up in a really good mood. As long as I stay inside and avoid other humans, that good mood should last. 😄

I need to shower and make coffee. But I don't want to get up. I'm really comfortable, huddled up in this fluffy robe. I also have my unicorn socks on. 🦄🦄🦄

7!!!! Blimy..
Bonked my head (on a steel base of drill press) twice yesterday while cleaning a mat.
Between that & getting over a cold, my head's now sore. Plus have nice little 1 1/2 inch gash on my forehead 🤕
Off next few days. Just going to hang out at home and try to get 100% better...

Ow! Hope that gets better!
November
November
Ouch!
Pizza and pancakes!
Me too!

My trip to my mother's went well, I regained one of my books, and got a jar of chutney, which I love but she doesn't. Don't know why she had it, but I'll happily take it. And of course she made pancakes, we went traditional with sugar and lemon.

Golden Syrup is traditional too! It just has rather a lot of sugar in it...
Snow. Snow. Snow. It is all there is. Today it has been snowing all day. Again.
Since november, nothing but snow.

I love winter, so I want to enjoy it, but as I walked to train this morning - wet snow pelting me in the face - I did feel like I was starting to go a little mad.

My poodle upped her feather game today and picked up an entire disembodied wing. The pink and grey galahs are so fat from all the harvest grain, they just cant get away from the cats.

Well the posty missed me today 🙁 was expecting a truck full of cards and flowers and yet again another year of nothing! Jokes... being single the thing to look forward to is reduced chocolate tomorrow lol
