James Marsters performs in London in May, 2009. Anyone going?

i have 2 tickets for the 3rd of may one. bf brought them for me as i had just paid for the hallowhedon tickets. so cant wait.
 
So... the final event of the weekend (for May 2nd) has just been announced. It's a one day event with Q&A's, photoshoots, an acousitc concert and more (details here ). The tickets are £130.

I debated with myself for some time whether or not I should go, since I'll be in London at least until Monday anyway. It's tempting for the Q&A's and the small concert, but the rest - not so much. I'm sure some of it could be fun enough if I weren't going alone, and I wouldn't say no to an autographed photo. But the tickets are £130...! If I'd been really desperate to meet James, maybe, but I'm really not interested in a five-second chat with the guy. So... I think I'll pass and spend the £130 on something else. But... I just know some part of me will end up regretting it when that Saturday comes... 😛

Is anyone planning to go?
 
Haven't read all the replies, but my birthday is on the FIRST of May (haha Al, beat youu!) & I live about half hour from london so I reckon I'll be going.

Have fun Edmund and Silum! It sounds interesting but I'm not that interested, we can always just listen to him on CD or what not.
 
im going to the 100 club gig on the 3rd =)

i cant afford the saturday event unfortunatly, but it is a bit pricey LOL
i did debate for many hours last night and felt a bit gutted at one point when i realised that i couldnt afford it LOL was in a mood for an hour then cheered up when i convinced a friend to come to the much cheaper sunday gig 😀

so see some of u there! xxx

Yeah, I wonder how many will actually want to pay that much..it's crazy. But have fun at the gig, maybe see you there. :P
i guess i am crazy as i brought a tickets for all three if i am in london anyway i might as well and i am all for living life to the full at the moment

Okay, finally things fell into place here. Turns out my brother and dad are going to London to watch Tottenham that same weekend, so I'll be going with them - less lonliness for me! :biggrin: But they're not actually going to the gigs with me and I'd still love to meet up with people (although the anti-social in me is probably going to regret saying that when the time comes 😛 ).
Hey, it's getting closer - only six weeks to go now! Good thing I just got myself a better job, so I can actually afford it. 😉

Hi all! This is my first post after discovering this place. I live in the Netherlands, but my friend Chris who works with me goes back to his home in London from time to time. Perhaps I can talk him into going on this weekend and I can try and catch the show.

I saw him in Sacramento, California in I believe 2002. After his show we stuck around for an hour or so and got his autograph out back.

He is the coolest person ever!

So only a week to go now... I guess those of us who want to meet up at one of the gigs should sort something out soon then. Maybe we should all report back here (remember to mention which gig you're attending) so we know who's still interested and go from there. Or something? 😛
 
My friend and I are going to the gig on the first, which is my birthday (presents are not obligatory on meeting up, but are welcomed xD). I'd be happy to meet up with anyone going by themselves etc 🙂

What time are people planning to get there? Doors open 7 pm on Friday (fyi, on this day queuing before 4 pm is not allowed) and 7:30 pm on Sunday..

And we should probably meet outside before the gig, yes? It'll probably be kinda hard to find each other once we're inside the venue.
 
I need to talk to my friend about what time I'm meeting her etc. I doubt we'll be aiming to queue for hours because that's effort and it's my birthday that day so I'm not sure what I'm doing in the day and stuff. I'm willing to exchange numbers with people via PM in-case I don't make it to the queue in time for when people want to be there etc.

I believe the Sunday gig is over 18s, yes. Sorry. But the gig at Union Chapel on Friday should be open to everyone. 🙂

That's fine. I doubt I'll want to wait there for hours and hours too - especially if I'm on my own! Maybe an hour before door open? I dunno... it depends how obsessive other people get - we do wanna find a nice seat! 😉

I'll PM you my number now, just in case. (probably be packing and going to bed early tonight - and in the meantime I've got to go to work. 🙁)
