What is it about teen sex that is so bad? It happens. The important thing is that we teach kids how to do it responsibly and safely. Of course, I'm not sure that most teenagers are even close to being emotionally able to handle sex, but I guess everyone's different.
Everyone has their own parenting styles, but I know that I'm not going to wait until my kids ask me about sex when they're 13. I never had "the talk" because it was never just one specific day that my parents talked to me about all of that. I had the talk every day of my life. Communication is the key to a healthy relationship between parents and their children, or at least, it was for me.
Also, I'm kinda upset with all the ageist remarks being flung around. To say that a young person can't possibly know about something in life based on their age is totally insulting. We're all human, and regardless of our age, nobody really knows the right answer to anything. We're all just bumbling around and crashing into each other down here.
Ah, and my parents had a simple solution to keep me from getting "krunk" at parties. They didn't let me go to any.
