I like that he is enjoying Dawn ^_^ and loving Angel season 2. He's very easy to please for someone who nit picks and analyzes everything.

And a character standing in the way of "your" ship is bound to be disliked whatever they do. That's how you get characters like Kennedy and Riley being hated so much despite never really doing much wrong, especially compared to the rest of the cast.

I agree with this, but in this case of Riley, a lot of the commenters actually didn't enjoy Bangel (nor are they anticipating Spuffy), so it's not just a case of him 'standing in the way' of their ship.

Yep indeed (although I will always repeat again and again that Buffy didn't only use him, it was more than that). Anyway I really laughed at his "This will never happen, there's no way they could ever be together" (wait and see, boy 😛)
Anyway I really enjoy his reviews lately (he actually doesn't say a word about himself and some of his thoughts are quite insightful, FFL comes to mind)

Seriously? I find it hard to believe half the stuff this guy says.

It's so annoying that he talks about himself so much. It makes it hard to notice when he actually says something that remotely relates to the show -.-

Blood Money is a good review. I'm happy he noticed Anne was the same one from Buffy 😀

Happy Anniversary is the next ANGEL review. Gah, I hate that episode. The whole time freezing thing was so stupid.

I think there might have been something to a Spike and Buffy relationship, but after this episode… sweet baby Jenny Calendar, this is not something I want to see without some severe soul-searching on the part of Spike. Ha, that’s a funny term to use because he doesn’t have a soul.

I love when Mark inadvertently foreshadows. 😛

It's funny, because even though I'm a Spuffy shipper, my initial reaction to Spike and Spuffy in "Crush" were basically the same as Mark's.

But honestly, this episode has done a fine job of squashing any potential Buffy/Spike shipping on my part. Ew Spike. He really is gross.

My thoughts exactly after watching Crush. Yes even I, the girl who has spent the majority of her posts here speaking to the better aspects of Spike and defending his journey, felt this way about his character during Crush.

He is genuinely trying to be good sometimes, but a lot of times he’s only doing it to get Buffy. That is the problem. It’s a selfish reason for being a good person, and Buffy can see right through it. Yet even when he gets the chance to express his feelings to Buffy, he speaks to her as if she owes him a relationship.

I agree with this. Yup. When people criticize Spike they say these things about him later in the series, and I strongly contest that. But at this point? In Crush? Yeah, it's completely true, of course it is. He's a soulless vampire with an obsession at this point in the series--he's just scratching the surface in terms of trying to become anything else.

It hasn't even occurred to him yet that he could, or should.
I like that this episode exists because it highlights the fact that he truly is a soulless vampire and that he has a long way to go in order to make a transformation. For me, that makes the process--and his very desire to take part in the process of awareness and change in behavior which really starts to take place in the coming episodes--even more powerful.

Uh oh.....he already started crying. And he hasn't even started The Body yet. I actually feel equal parts excited and terrified. Excited because the episode is a masterpiece. Terrified because....well, I actually feel kinda sorry for him. We'll see tommorow.

I find myself not caring or just plain laughing at his life, or his claims anyway. I doubt any f it is true.

One of his comments a few episodes back about how it is Darla's choice if she wants to be a vampire or not and how Angel should step back really annoyed me. Angel isn't about to let her become a soulless murderous vampire again; that's just common sense, not taking away a woman's right to choose.

Angel gets blamed for stupid crap by some fans.

Taking away the woman's right to...become a serial killer. That Angel! What a bastard!

Personally I blame him for not staking Darla and Dru after he set them on fire, not for infringing on Darla's "right" to become a killing machine.

I am so excited to see his review of The Body! 😛 Oh my gosh, can't wait.

I keep thinking of so many other episodes I can't wait for him to see like The Gift, OMWF, Seeing Red, Grave... Pretty much all of Season 6 since it's my favourite. 😛

Hehe the review was good. He was so angry and upset that the first on screen Willow and Tara kiss only got one line in his review " Willow and Tara kissed for real and it was goddamn beautiful."

Also, the best line he wrote: That “Avengers assemble” line was… holy shit, HE KNEW.

I love that he understands the characters and emotions so well. He understands them better than I do at times.

I really don't think Angel considered Drusilla and Darla (as a vampire) redeemable, he just couldn't bring himself to kill them. Which is understandable but not commendable.

Spike was given many (undeserved, IMO) opportunities because he was (supposedly) harmless. Darla and Drusilla's chance for redemption was going to be at the expense of their many victims.
