What would you prefer in your biscuits?
I do not partake in biscuits. But I don't really eat breakfast foods in general. Does cinnaman have to go on biscuits?

What! Biscuits are not breakfast food, they're cookies. I can make em however ye fancy
I am wondering if I might be able to enjoy the fresh cinnaman. Or if it makes a difference in the taste at all. Maybe fresh cinnaman tastes better than that other nasty crap they call cinnaman.

I dunno. I've mulled it over (no pun intended) and decided the problem with cinnamon is it smells good but tastes...mundane. By the same token, the sticks look good but the taste isn't equal to the aesthetic. Cinnamon raises expectations and never meets them. It's the spice equivalent of the Metoffice promising snow at Christmas and you get rain. Maybe I'm just too old for cinnamon...or paradoxically...not old enough. 😕

They're more buttery than cinnamony.

That's shortbread trying too hard to be posh! You can't improve on perfection. 🙂

@Bluebird Ginger biscuits are next!

These (below) distributed freely at meetings (and admittedly the wage) are the reason I miss work.

Bring back Dixon of Dock Green, and oh that Police Box which he used to ring the station.
Work has me so stressed and upset that I started smoking again. After more than five years off the ciggies. And I cried for twenty minutes last night when I got home.

Waiting for this whole situation to blow over so I can move on to another job because my sanity is slowly slipping.

My partner is now working from home at the same hours and I'm furloughed with my full wage, so I'd count myself lucky compared to some in the world. Because I don't have to stress so much about uncertainty the time moves faster, and I'm one of those people who never feels bored. Now I have time to do all the things.

Mental Health is improving over the last few days, but I'm still addicted to the news sites and need an IV of it 24/7...

Work has me so stressed and upset that I started smoking again. After more than five years off the ciggies.
Have you tried gum ? Will keep your mouth busy and won't damage your lungs.

I think that a lot of people have been relapsing in the last 6 weeks, I don't smoke but I have been drinking a lot more coffee and alcohol than I normally would.

Hopefully I don't start biting my nails again, that would be a relapse I don't need.

I'm one of those people who never feels bored. Now I have time to do all the things.
What's your secret to never feeling bored ?

I'm pretty lucky. I am still working, so I am getting out and seeing people. To reduce the numbers of people at work, we've been given at least one Standby day a week, in which we don't go into work, but can be rung if we are needed.

I'm happy to say I'm also one of those people who never get bored. I'm currently doing a Buffy re-watch and am working on a fanfic, reading a Buffy book for the group read and reading Simon Schama's History of Britain (not as good as I remember the tv show) I'm also on social media, two fan forums, have two cats who drive me crazy, a house and garden that need looking after . . . so yeah, I'm keeping busy.

Lots and lots of hobbies and interests in many things, even if I'm not all that good at it I'll still give it a go. Because of this I've accumulated a lot of stuff, either crafting stock, big piles of books/blu rays, video games I bought and never played. If it's creative or interactive, I'm interested.

As for the 24 hour news I'd recommend a break from that! I don't have TV, just Netflix and YouTube (and Player if I'm feeling naughty). Most news information from a day's cycle can be condensed into a few sentences. The rest is unnecessary stress.

Yay, not the only one that didn't want to pay the BBC!
I heard about a couple of free writing courses a couple of months ago, one was about Fiction and one was about Non-Fiction, I hope the member who DeepBlueJoy referred to knows the difference between Fiction and Non-Fiction.
Fiction is when an author occasionally writes what the author knows as his or her truth about what is essentially a pack of lies (fictional tale). Is what I have written fitting for inclusion in a book of Fiction or Non-Fiction?

I've been working on a jigsaw puzzle, 1000 pieces, could well take me 1000 days at the rate I'm going! Also the only hard flat surface I have to do it on is my kitchen floor, not helpful when I need food!

What do you do with it when you are done? Just take it apart again, or do you shellac and display it?

I'm smoking WAY more than I was. I don't care if my job is "essential" I REALLY HATE IT. I'm exhausted, sleep-deprived, and just want to stay in bed now. I don't want to see ANYONE, just give me comfort food.

Having to wear that damn mask at work makes things even worse!! 🤬 I'm tired, moody af, stressed, and now my allergies have been flaring up flared. And that triggers...hives. Its torture. Hives is one of the WORST results of stress. God, it sucks!!

So quit. You'd probably make more on unempolyment anyway. At least until the end of June.

I want to, believe me. But I do NOT want to be in the same boat as millions of others. The job may suck, but at least I have a job. And it's a union job. So, I'll hang in awhile longer.

I'm going to blow that stimulus check on all kinds of things. Bills won't be one of them. 😂 Y'know, I'm actually happy that I'm NOT full time now. More time to party! I was so pissed when they hired more people and cut my hours...but not anymore. I'm a Kroger slave employee, and they're huge, second only to Walmart. Amazingly, I made it through the 90 day probation period, how, I don't know. But I'm a bit more relaxed. 😈

You should look to see what you'd make from unemployment. I could make $1000 a week were I not employed. Them adding that extra $600 a week might benefit you.
I feel like I should be doing so much more with all this free time, I've gotten so lazy. I haven't finished the puzzle, I haven't even finished reading a book and I've been off for around 6 weeks now. I've watched a lot of Irish people drinking on Youtube but that's about it!

Same here. I had plans to use the time to clean the whole place, 6 weeks later and it's still in the same state it was 6 weeks ago.
