Meta - Spike and Angel(us): I don’t judge them by different standards

Well I wasn't tiered of it, and neither were my friends who watched it at the time.

And that's OK. Different people have different tastes after all - I accept that but so should you. Don't act all surprised and incredulous when people admit that they find Spike boring. It's a completely reasonable stance that's a consequence of how this character is written.

I have to admit though I've never found any of the characters dull during any seasons of the show.

But I think certain people also tend to look only at the positive and not the negative. And this is in NO way segregated to just vampires with souls. But thats the problem with fandom, in my opinion.

Oh I dunno. Most Spike fans I know, know the character can be a right bastard, and with certain fractions of fandom being what it is are never allowed to forget that either. 😀

She apparently has repressed dreams about vampire threesomes and nurses outfits...but she also had daydreams about seducing Xander, but that doesn't mean she acts on them, or that they equate with real feelings.

Except she did. And I had the impression that one of the two vampires in her repressed dream seemed to be Spike. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.

After afterglow godsex with AngelTwilight? That was more about the afterglow of having tons of supernaturally great sex than about Spike. Remember Buffy saying to Angel 'you have my heart but he has a ship'. Why would she fantasise about Spike moments later...after telling Spike how wonderful Angel was?

Except she did. But maybe, again, I'm wrong - or I maybe I was wearing my Spuffy glasses, because I think I saw Buffy and Spike in 2 or three panels.

That's just examples of how you see things...

Why would I be upset when I'm having the best of this particular arguement?

If Buffy was pining for Spike then why did she not go and look for him once when she found out that he was alive? If she was pining for Spike then why did Buffy sleep with Satsu, hit on Xander and then have tons of space-sex with Angel?

Spike in S8 was a very distant forth consideration. I beleive at the end in San Fran she's calling him 'Stalky the clown' as he creepily hangs around her sisters apartment giving her yet more pep talks.

Anyway, since this is utterly OT by now and you are still utterly blase' about your previous personal attacks then I'm wasting my time.

I will say that being THIS invested in a fictional character/romance, to the detriment of things like realising what's actually happening on screen/panel, is perhaps a sign that its not a healthy thing.
Just do what people like you do and go read some fan-fic.

Sorry if you misunderstood that... that was one of the examples of how you see things: I said that "Buffy missed the sex", and you changed my words to "Buffy pined for Spike throughout all of S8." Haven't you noticed the quotation and exclamation marks?
