Lol so hard at Dianna Agron. Not that she's a bad actress, but it's hard to happen. And yeah, I don't think Heather has enough acting experiences.

Haha, I adore Dianna. She's my favorite but I don't see her as Buffy at all. She's not bad ass enough, haha. And yeah like I said, I like Heather but I hardly call her an actress, she's only just beginning.

Agree with everything. Dianna can only play Tara, IMO. 🙂
 
I'm not particularily fond of the redo but the idea of Dianna playing Buffy makes me ... um, really into it. Seeing her wear her cross in Glee with her cheerleader outfit ... I have a small crush on her.

I also think it's a mistake, but I'm curious to find out. 😕
It just can't be nearly as good as the series. Without Joss and the cast it's simply impossible.
But still I really wanna know how it's gonna be. I just hope it won't be Twilight-like.
 
It's amazing. People have already passed judgement on the movie . . . and it hasn't been made yet. It sometimes amazes me how people can be incredibly narrow-minded.
 
I've said it before. I got no problem with people disliking/hating the idea of the movie. Maybe how they sometimes express it though. But I'm so tired of people already calling it crap and bashing it that I rarely visit threads about the movie anymore.



Maybe we should have a "Hate on the new Buffy movie" thread. 😉

Honestly speaking based on previous body of work (within similar medium not taking into account involvement in televised efforts) by the producers, the rather obscure background and choice of the current writer, uninvolvement of creator (who should at least be partially attributed the shows success though many factors were involved) not to mention taking into account similar productions (time appropriate that is, in this instance I'm counting recent re-makes of comics and books) I feel confident to infer that this movie is unlikely to meet my satisfaction.

Granted it is possible that I'll be proven wrong and that the movie will exceed my rather low expectations but until further informaion has been released regarding director/script/cast I stand by my inference.

And even with those things counted I'll remain skeptical until viewing. Judgemental perhaps but narrow-minded? I would more say it's a logical conclusion taking all of the reasons above and my feelings about them into account.
 
I'm jumping on the bandwagon of hate. At least, I don't think I've posted anything yet about my view of the reboot.

I can understand not having the original cast members back, but no Joss? If he was a part of it then I'd definitely go and see it, I have that much faith in the man. They should just leave Buffy be, although, I would like Dianna Agron to take on the part, she's proved on Glee that she's quite athletic, so the fight scenes shouldn't be a problem, and for the person who mentioned about Buffy being "bad-ass"; I don't necessarily think she is, I don't know why, but I just don't think that, so I think Dianna would be able to take on the role.

As for Heather Morris being Buffy... I was kinda happy to hear about it, but I don't think she's got enough acting experience, but I think if they were including main characters from the show I think she'd be a good Anya.

Anyway, that's my opinion on the whole thing, however, it could change once we learn about script writers, directors, actors, etc. I might change my mind once a trailer is released but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Lol, gosh I hope she does not get the part. Can't stand her 🙂
I'm gonna stick with my previous hope that they might find some unknown talent for the part. Though it seems likelier that they will go with a 'name' that people will know.


I read on IMDB that the movie was supposed to be set after Buffy has graduated h.s. and college (though who reliable that is I'm not sure) and that she's dealing with daily life while struggling to balance Slayer duties... perhaps it'll be an ersatz s8 for some 🙂 (although of course it wont have the Scoobies... )

That's it, I want Summer Glau for the role. Together with Arnold "I'll be back" Schwarzenegger for final villian.
