It's been a while since Cordelia was even conscious, let alone, um, well, not evil. They've not exactly been together recently.

Plus, you know how when you're with someone who really knows you you are completely at ease and can act differently than you would around other people? I think that's why it seems like the old Angel.

Angel had THE worst dialogue EVER in this episode. He's turned back into schoolboy Angel from season1. And he was all cocky. This is NOT an Angel characteristic that ever comes to the fore. "Buffy I've totally gotten over Cordelia in like 1 second and I'm back with you babe." Dude it blowed. Sorry to all you die-hards who've been grinding their teeth for this to happen.😉

It just goes to show that Buffy and Angel are meant to be together. 😀 You can't fight destiny!! hehe😉 😱

Exactly right. I never considered myself a B/A shipper anymore than I considered myself a C/A or B/S shipper.

That said, Buffy and Angel are soulmates, they belong together. With Joss though, they never will be together. Not for a good long while.
 
One thing I'm confused about is, how can Spike possibly be going back to being an agent of the First? I thought the whole point of him figuring out his trigger and resolving his issues with the song was that now the First can't control him anymore?

I loved the scene where Spike and Buffy had the mushy moment, but...I think it's going to be REALLY stupid and unfair if Buffy ends up with Angel at the end instead of Spike. I mean they've been dropping hints and leading up to a B/S relationship all season...the "someday she'll tell you" thing, and the recent stuff with Spike holding Buffy all night, and then in this ep Buffy telling him it meant something to her and basically saying that maybe they can be together after the apocolypse. I mean why put all that stuff in if Spike is just going to turn evil and die and Buffy is going to be all over Angel? That will suck.

I liked the Anya and Andrew scene, and the "you love humans" stuff. But I didn't like the part before they were in the hospital, when they were saying scary stuff to the SiT and she kept going "what?" I mean I know it was supposed to be funny and I guess I'm taking it to seriously but I just thought it was mean of them to scare her like that. I mean imainge if you were injured and in pain and getting ready to fight in the apocolypse and someone was standing by you saying you were going to die and not even caring. It would be terrible.

I also thought the Dawn and Xander stuff seemed kinda odd and forced. And I also agree with the people who said that this doesn't really feel like the end, you'd just expect more from the second to last episode.

One odd complaint I have is about Giles not being Buffy's mentor anymore. I mean I know that they've been going towards that for a while, having Buffy be independant and surpassing her teacher, but without Giles acting like a father figure and guiding Buffy, it just doesn't *feel* like BtVS anymore. I would have liked to the series end with Giles being as important to Buffy as he was in the start. But now he's almost like a random background character. I hope in the last ep there's some kind of scene where there's a big important moment between Buffy and Giles showing that she still needs him and that he's still important to her.

The First used the trigger to control Spike, but a trigger isn't necessary to control someone. Anyone can control a person by manipulating their emotions. The First had an SiT kill herself without the aid of a trigger.

As far as who Buffy will end up with, you'd be smart to bet on no one. The thing that they've been building on isn't so much the "she'll tell you" bit, it's the "you're alone" bit. 'Sides, M.E. have been saying all along that they have plans for Spike, that isn't exactly a secret, so if he'll be moving on he won't be riding off into the sunset with Buffy. Angel has been renewed for another season, so he won't either. Expect Buffy to end up alone.

The Andrew/Anya scene in the hospital was nice. When they were playing nurse to the wounded SiTs before, yes, some inapproriate comments were made by Anya, but that's what she does. Anya has a nasty habit of telling the truth, she doesn't sugar coat stuff like everyone else does (I'm sure it doesn't hurt that she was pounding back some scotch too).

The Dawn/Xander scene made sense. They are both little more than human and have no real invested interest in the fight (the First is after the SiTs and probably wouldn't bother to hunt down Xander and Dawn). Buffy wanted to keep them both safe so they were sent packing. It didn't really seem odd or forced to me.

If I were you I'd suggest you get over the whole 'Giles as Buffy's mentor thing. That's done. I would have liked it too (just like I really wanted the show to get a little more light hearted and fun again) but it just ain't gonna happen. Will he play some important role in the last episode? Maybe. Will he get a chance to shine like he used to? I seriously doubt it (a shame, he's one of my favourite characters).

He hasn't had any good episodes since he got split in two. That was ages ago.

giles was hilarious when he grabbed one of those tart cake thingys....darnit, the spike/buffy angsty scene got me dying here man....and yeah, the andrew/anya scene was nice too 🙂 i like the scythe...it answered some questions

God. I've missed watching
this.

She swings the blade-end of the scythe at him. And for the third time, he CATCHES it. But this time, he SHOVES it back at her, and she twists out of the way... the stake end barely misses her as it embeds in the wall behind her.

She pulls it free, then LOWERS it down, and in one brutal motion...

RIPS the scythe straight up. We hold close on Caleb's face as he realizes he's been GUTTED from below.

Buffy retracts the blade. Caleb FALLS to the floor, raising dust, apparently dead. Buffy addresses Angel without looking.


Buffy, exhausted, takes a step back, unsteady.
BUFFY
See? Under control.


She walks into Angel, who steadies her.


ANGEL
Well at least tell me you're glad to
see me.
Weary, Buffy turns to him.


They stand together a moment, then Buffy KISSES HIM. It's tender at first, but builds into a real passionate kiss.

what i liked about it, the comments.... nt necessarily the kissing... i know this doesnt make the b/s pple happy but still the scene was pretty cool it felt good to see

Gosh what an amazing episode. It really has me broken into two sides about the Buffy-Angel and Buffy-Spike thing. I mean I really love Spike and think they are great together. But I feel the Buffy and Angel have a connectino that can't really be touched.

Anyway - my fave was when Andrew tells Anya 'you're like the perfect woman.' and Anya goes 'I've often thought so'. LOL.
I really am so happy that Faith and Buffy had a little chat and got some stuff cleared up. Gosh there was some funny dialogue there too "We're hot chicks with superpowers" haha.

Gosh I don't want to have to wait until the weekend to see the finale! I've kept myself spoiler free though!...Oh the temptation

First of all, do we know for sure that Spike is going back to being an agent of the FE? All I saw was the First trying to be manipulative when he was in a vulnernable moment.

As for Caleb, there's dead and there's... dead. (Or do I mean undead?) In any case, I'm sure FE has the resources to patch him up again.
