Which is why people who believe in the food chain shouldn't have problems with Cannibalism. Last time I checked people were animals too and have meat. The only reason it's seen as "wrong" is because humans have big egos and think they're to good to be eaten. It's as if they think being able to drive a car and speak gives them more of a right to live. In that case they should also think they have more of a right to live than people who are unable to speak, walk etc.

I find that people don't even know what their morals are. Give someone a burger made from cow and they'll eat it up with a smile on their face. Give the same person a burger made from dog and they'll call you an awful person. They're all hypocrites, just like smokers that say you shouldn't smoke.

It doesn't matter if what you eat is cow, pig, dog, human, apple, orange. If it doesn't have a bad effect on your health than it's not wrong to eat it, legal or illegal because law doesn't equal fact, it's just based on the overall opinion of whatever people run the country. It's down to the individual that decides if it's right or wrong.

Though why people are talking about diets on a Buffy and Angel website is beyond me. Next we'll be talking about who has the longest "Index finger" between David and James

Can you name any mammals that eat their own kind (for nutrition) if other food is available?
Three things.

1. PETA is a manifestation of the political correctness culture taking over the world along with Greenpeace. They had better learn that they can't be wowsers all the time.

2. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I always thought PETA were a bunch of loons. Therefore, Go Girl! (that, however does not mean I like her dominatrix getup in Dollhouse.)

3. The main reason PETA puts up is that animals are living things and have feelings. High school science seems to have taught me that plants are living things too. So what now, PETA?
 
There is a massive difference between living and sentient. Your hair is alive too, as much as a piece of broccoli is.

Not on everyone. There's many tribes throughout history that have part taking in it and they didn't go nuts and start chopping everyone in the village up. Besides, there's a lot of legal foods and drinks that mess you up. Crisps and fast food, alcoholic beverages. How many people a year die from drinking to much and driving home, drunks that beat their loved ones to death etc. Yet still legal. which just backs up my last comment that just because something is legal or illegal it doesn't mean it's right or wrong. Just look at everyone endlessly debating over pot or abortions. It's comes down to the persons morals. Cannibalism is just against some peoples morals.

I think we have more right to live then the animals I'd eat, not then other people. People and Animals aren't the same. It's survival of the fittest, and we can eat other animals, same as other animals eat other animals.

I don't think thats hypocritical, it would be hypocritical if the person eating the dog burger said its wrong to eat dog.

It's not like it's a general concencious that it's wrong to eat dog, thats the culture we're brought up in, that dogs are pets, so people have a problem with it.

But what about when animals eat humans!! that should not be wrong either. But we hunt them down and kill them when they do it. I think animals should be allowed, and in some cases ENCOURAGED, to eat them some people if they want.

I'm sorry, but this is absolutely ludicrous of PETA to say that about her. If people didn't hunt, we wouldn't have any meat to eat, and if we didn't eat meat, the world would be overrun with animals.

Okay, isn't this the same group that said Twilight the Movie was "animal-friendly" because Bella only ate veggie burgers?

I think Edward has hunted more than Faith, guys.

I don't like hunting, I am a former vegetarian, I hate animal cruelty. But honestly? People hunt, PETA, get over it. And they aren't all serial killers (not many of them at all, in fact, except for a few of the people on Criminal Minds.)

I don't like the killing of any animal but I can't stand these extremists like PETA!!!

I grew up watching friends/family of mines getting murdered from gun/knife violence etc. since I was a child myself. These extremists go crazy over these animals but don't say a peep over the deaths of children that happen all the time. Care more about a dog than a human life. 40 kids were killed with gun violence this past week in the US and not one word from these extremists, government, etc. I have words for these people but I'd likely get banned for sharing them.

There is no concrete evidence that points to this being a valid or invalid theory. We simply do not know. It depends on if you have faith (not her!) that it is a board game or just believe we are all random lego pieces running aimlessly around.

Why do we have to care in quantities? Why is belonging to a certain species morally less valid than e.g. ethnicity or gender? Animals are sentient beings. Why does their suffering mean less than human suffering? I'm extremely sorry to hear about your experiences, but just because I care about humans doesn't mean I can't care about animals. Suffering is bad. The less there is, the better.
