Freddy Vs Jason (2003) ...7/10?
Is it weird that this is actually a decent crossover? Yeah, its dumb and the teen characters are classic examples of those early 2000's 'the jackasses you want to see get killed bloodily' but at least the writers know what the fans want; Elm Street, Crystal Lake and an excuse to see 2 horror icons slash each other to ribbons. They also put a modicum of effort into acknowledging the 'lore' and figuring out how to bring Freddy back; no 'dog pissing fire onto a corpse' here (yeah, that was a movie writing choice, probably one of those 80's cocaine-fuelled ones) and some of the kills are fairly OTT and inventive.
Both killers get plenty of respect- in fact Englund hasn't been this good since NOES 3- and the finale is as close to epic as slasher-horror is ever gonna get. This is a fun time for you and all your mildly drunk friends.
