The Amazing Spider-Man - 8.7/10
What can I say? I very thoroughly enjoyed myself. I didn't walk in expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The actors were spot on, ESPECIALLY Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. I finally felt like I was watching a movie about SPIDER-MAN, for the first time, instead of some cheap knockoff. Go see it. Go. NOW!

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" 8/10

We just saw this, and I must say that it's one of the most fun movies that I've seen in a long time. The entire story line is absurd, the action sequences defies description, and it works together perfectly. I have never been a fan of Tim Burton, but I have to admit that he was probably the perfect person to pull this off.

The Amazing Spider-Man: 6/10

There was nothing really...wrong with the movie (I'm a huge superhero fan), but there was nothing really that stood out about it either. The first hour was pretty much Spiderman from 2002 except everyone has cellphones now. The final battle was solid, but again, not amazing (ah, puns are fun). The Lizard, a villain I was really anticipating, was pretty generic and the look wasn't very cool.

The one area I found really disappointing was Andrew Garfield. I liked him a lot in The Social Network and thought he would make an excellent Peter Parker. He didn't. He had zero chemistry with Emma Stone (who I usually love, but who was incredibly reserved in this movie) and some horrible writing killed any momentum they might have had by default.

On the plus side though, Martin Sheen was great as Uncle Ben (if, once again, it was almost exactly like Cliff Robertson's performance in the original), and the actual Spidey suit looked fantastic. It also looks like it is building to be a franchise (as these types of movies often do) with a neat overriding mystery.

It wasn't bad, I want to stress that. But in comparison to the Marvel movies and the Batman films, it didn't hold a candle to them. Certainly not amazing.

The Amazing Spider-Man 10/10

Okay so i pretty much knew Id love it since im a huge superhero, especially Marvel, fan. And i did! It was 'Amazing!' Thought Andrew Garfield made a great Peter Parker and the chemistry was great between him and at Emma Stone. It's just how shy, nerdy, high school students would act around each other! Although i prefer the Lizard with the snout i understand why they wanted to go with the Steve Dikto version. It didn't bother me at all and loved how they done it. Loved how they kept the important elements of Spider-Man even if it was in the first one (but done differently). Loved the inclusion of his parents and the continuous story of him trying to find out about them.
As for the 3D i thought it was great. One of the few, including the Avengers, films that 3D was meant for! Seeing him swing through the city was just spectacular!
Just loved this film! 😀

Decent action movie. Definitely surpasses most of today's action movies, but I like the third Die Hard film better.

I liked it, but the plotline seemed sort of loose. But she had AWESOME hair.

What a sweet but sad movie. Hilary Swank was great in the lead and all the characters were believable and heartbreaking.

Apart from the fact that it could almost be called X-Men: Wolverine saves the day, it's an awesome movie and I never get tired of seeing it. And James Marsden and Shawn Ashmore are so hot! 😀

X-Men: First Class 9.5/10
Seeing the above movie always makes me want to see the "origin". Great movie that could explain the cold war... (yes, I prefer that to the real explanation) It shows that Charles never stopped having faith in Eric. Oh, and of course I cry every time I see

I have no words. There's just nothing to say about this movie, really, other than the fact that it was extremely hyped up, yet did nothing for me. It was honestly a waste of my time.

The Amazing Spiderman - 9/10

This was a pretty amazing movie. Honestly, I've become a Spiderman fan since the first Spider-Man movie came out (starring Tobey Maguire). By the way, the first one was my favourite out of the three- loved all the action and I always like seeing how superheroes start out, how they gain the power they have. But I've become an even bigger Spidy fan after this one. And I'm actually thinking/planning to read the comics, starting with the original issue of course.
Back to the movie: I thought each and every actor/actress delivered their roles perfectly. The movie was well-paced and it was really fun to watch it. Big kudos goes to Andrew Garfield (he portrayed Peter Parker exactly as how I imagined he would be like in my head). Plus, I have a soft spot for him 😉

Definitely not as bad as I expected. Didn't watch it all, but it was quite good. And Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon are always nice to look at 😀

Mysterious Skin: 10/10

.....I haven't been this disturbed and emotionally devastated since Requiem For A Dream. I went into this movie knowing about the premise, and that Michelle Trachtenburg was in it. Sorry folks, this isn't little Dawnie. And Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Just, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He should have won the Oscar, hands down. This movie had me cringing all throughout, but the final ten minutes left me a bawling mess. And I woke up and still felt the power of this movie. Like Requiem, one of the most brilliant movies I've ever seen, but one that I will never watch again.

On my list of the funniest movies of all time. I saw it today on T.V. and I couldn't stop laughing. Seriously, pretty much every scene is roll-on-the-floor funny. It was always a classic, but now that I've had a few jobs and worked in jobs I just couldn't stand, it's even funnier. Solid gold.

"Brave"- 8

I liked the movie a lot, and the message, but it reminded me a LOT of "Brother Bear". I like that movie, so I didn't mind too much, but I just wish Disney had been a little more original with the story on this one.
