Restoration 9/10

Seriously really loved this movie. Only gave it a 9 because the beginning was shaky. But Robert Downey Jr. did an amazing job, as well as the rest of the cast, and the character development was pretty awesome.

Horrible Bosses 5/10

It was alright. but I didn't really laugh out loud or anything. Some parts were funny.

agreed, I thought it'd be awesome but it was more.. okay
8/10 - "Secret Access: The Vatican"
a fascinating documentary that ambitiously tries to answer a lot of questions and tries to stay on a clear-sighted line not falling for or against the Vatican (I'm inclined to believe that it's the former though 🙂). Very well made and likeable, there were a few things unanswered (although it's a generous 120min I can see how that's a limit when it comes to something with such a rich history) but the biggest minus was the narrator who sounded like he was recording the trailer to some kind of cheap horror movie... it was rather distracting at times :S

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane.

I sort of like this movie, in the first hour it's pretty much your standard slasher movie but the twist at the end was great, a little predictable maybe, but no I love the ending.. Mandy Lane was the only likeable character in the movie. and it has a good soundtrack too. it just leaves me with a good feeling. 3,5/5.

Grown Ups - Adam SAndler

8/10

Awesome and very funny although they did miss a few gags they could have done but had me in stitches in the first 10 mins of the film...highly recommend if you like madison productions.

In theaters:

21 Jump Street - 8/10. Absolutely freaking HILARIOUS. Highly recommended.

At home:

Delta Farce - All that one gets is a ... because I honestly cannot bring myself to rate it. Larry the Cable Guy was the worst thing to come out of Blue Collar Comedy. >.>

Thor
9/10
Really liked this. I'm a huge Marvel fan who has limited knowledge on Thor, so I had nothing to complain about

Friends with Benefits
3/10
Yikes. What I liked most about the movie was the sad parts. This is supposed to be a comedy isn't it? lol
I am very embarrassed for the actors.

Underworld: Awakening

2/10.

Pro

Kate Beckinsale is pretty...
...and looks good in a catsuit.

Con

The plot
The acting
The script

And I was such a fan of the first two films 🙁

My year is made, I just bought Bio-dome, 10 out of 10!
(and yes, lol, I know it's just an awful, awful movie and stupid to boot but it was my sister's and my favorite movie when we were younger. We were so much like Bud and Doyle in some ways and watching it makes us think back to when we were young and stupid(er)) 😉

hahaha - this is one of my 'guilty pleasure' movies :-)
John Carter 9 1/2/10

This is the movie that I have been waiting to see for almost 50 years, ever since, at age 14, I read my first Edgar Rice Burroughs novel, "The Mastermind Of Mars." Before I had finished the first chapter, I was, and remain to this day, a totally unrepentant fan of everything that Burroughs has ever written. Tarzan's Africa, John Carter's Barsoom, David Innes' Pelucidar, Carson Napier's Vepaja, and all of the dozens of other worlds, from the Earth's Core to Beyond The Farthest Star, I've read and enjoyed them all. But of all those worlds, Barsoom, or Mars, remains my favorite, with its strange and wondrous creatures to John Carter himself, Virginian, Prince of Helium, and Warlord of Mars. And, of course, the incomparable Dejah Thoris, most beautiful woman on Barsoom.

The movie isn't a total retelling of "A Princess Of Mars." No single movie could possibly contain that total story, and changes, not all of which I agree with, have had to be made in order to bring the basic story to the screen. But what remains is close enough to the original story to make it well worth waiting half a century to see. Before seeing the movie, I was quite frankly worried that John Carter would receive the same sort of treatment that Hollywood has given Tarzan, Burroughs' most well known character, over the years. Now, I'm more afraid that the remaining two books in the series' beginning trilogy, will never be made into movies.

(And, incidentally, for those who might not be aware of the fact, John Carter, written a hundred years ago, is the direct inspiration for the "Gor," "Witch World," "Dune," "Michael Kane Of Old Mars" and "Dragon Riders Of Pern" series of books, among others, and the movie "Star Wars" series, the "Highlander" series, "Avatar," and the movie adaptations of the "Conan," and "Lord Of The Rings" series, to name only a few. So, if you go, [and PLEASE do, box office sales is the only way that this series will be allowed to continue] to see this movie, just keep in mind that, despite what you might think, "John Carter" isn't a rip off of all of those previous novels and movies, just the opposite is true. They were inspired by "John Carter."

(Please excuse my somewhat lengthy review. As I've mentioned a couple of times before, I've been waiting for almost fifty years to comment on this movie)

Green Lantern
7/10
Special effects were cool. The story was kind of meh in some parts. It was pretty messy with all the plots going on.

The Thing (1982) 9/10 Another classic I finally got around to watching, didn't disappoint. I feel like given the premise, you see 'The Thing' a bit too much, but that's really my only gripe about it.

Ace Ventura, Pet Detective

such a classic! "Finkle and Einhorn....Einhorn and Finkle...."

Fight Club - 7/10
I expected more from this movie... It's good, but not really my kind of movie.
I liked how it started, but then everything just got weirder and weirder.

Living Dead Boy
This is one of my favorite movies! It didn't do much for me at first, but after a rewatch or two, I was sold. It's a lot deeper than people realize.
