Seriously. I was a Spuffy fan long before Spike even realized he liked Buffy. So...
In the ending of Out of my mind, I practically fell down from my chair, and made the typical fan girl squee(You know, the loud, almost high freaquence squee.)

The second he grabbed her, and kissed her, I was like "kiss back God dammit!"
And when she did.. phew. I died and went to heaven. But was torn right out of it, when he woke up. 🙁
But luckily it gave me hope. At least he loved her. And that's a start.

Any-so: How did you react to the show changing moment?

LMAO!!! Me too!!! I nearly fell off my bed!
OH MY GOD! This can't be for real.

That i think summed up my thoughts on the subject when i saw it first.

It was a long time ago, but i do remember kind of freezing and going 'oh my god' a lot of times then when it was done laughing and thinking 'i knew it!' truely excellent ending.

this was my reaction:

:jawdrop: OMFG!! YES! finally!! yahoo!! yeahhh..

seconds later:

WHAT?? it was a dream?? arhh, i knew it.. this was too good to me true.. :cry2:

Well I watched that episode way after I'd seen season 6, so I was not really that surprised, I knew SOMETHING was bound to happen at some point, be it dream or reality.

eh, i always thought it seemed a little cheesy when i first saw it. thats just me. i mean, it was a wtf moment, but then after a few minutes i was like wow that was so like... ridiculous.

So i'm ashamed to admit it but I think upon first airing I was kind of ambivalent to it.... k thing is you know, I watched the show first run and that was so freaking long ago its a little hard to recall now my initial reaction to things because by this point they are so mixed in with my feelings on things now... and my feelings have WAY evolved on alot of aspects of the show from first viewing. Like for example upon first viewing *oh god* I was totally hung up on B... *cringes* ...angel, yeah okay, I said it I was all about Buffy and Angel during the original airings of the show. I wasn't really against the Spuffy thing I just was in the "oh but they still belong together" bubble... then again, i was still in highschool back then too. It took me a bit of growing up and rewatching to realize that I had been a naive girl in puppy love but that I like Buffy had grown with Spike... I saw the light and now here i stand basking in it in all the Spuffy glory. But yes after my awakening that moment at the end of Out of my mind was COMPLETELY made of awesome!

Um, yes!! I totally lost my mind even during the dream sequences!!! I was a Spuffy fan back in Seas 4, prob ever since the faith-buffy switcharoo of the bodies!

I remember totally flipping out...I SO did not see it coming. I remember calling my Mom and screaming like, "Mom! Buffy and Spike just KISSED! OMG!" She was like, "What?" lol
And then, Spike woke up, and I was like..."What? Damn it!!"
Now she's watching the show and SHES calling me! She just called me today about the last episode of Angel season 4...she's freaking out! She says they're a bunch of sell -outs for agreeing to take over W&H lol.

Hey. I really liked your article on the top ten scariest Buffy episodes 🙂 Good work.

lol, I just love that you have a Buffy bond with your mom!
Well me and my mum watched it and we where both in shock for at least 20 minutes going what eh??? How? Whats going on here then? But all i have to say is OMG It was one of my fave spuffy moments .

The first thing I did was smile, then think about how it was rather abrupt but a bit well-placed. And when Spike woke up I had to call up my friend and have her confirm that it was indeed Harmony, not Buffy. But once he had the troubled look on his face I went, "Aww, poor Spike."

I'm so jealous that you all remember that moment and your reaction in the first time so well. It was years ago, and I don't remember how I reacted.

If I remember correctly I got a bit suprised and thought that this don't make sense...
Then Spike woke up and I started to laugh, thinking this could be interesting. 🙂
Most likely I then quickly started the next episode to see how Spike would handle it.

At first I was thinking that it was the most ridiculous thing I had ever saw, how could he go from that scene where without the chip he could have slayed the slayer..had her on her back and his fangs at her throat, to this kissing and what not.

I started thinking maybe he was going to try and 'turn' her or something. But then a couple of episodes latter when he grabs the shotgun and goes to kill her, sees her crying and sits down with her...that kinda got to me.

from that point forward i started cheering for him and hoping they might somehow help each other figure out who they were and what the wanted to be.

The only other scene close to the porch scene where the don't even really talk but just sit together, (as far as cool Spike changing scenes go) is when Spike leaves flowers at the house after Joyce passes away, Xander starts getting in his face about motive...and they don't have a card saying who they are from.

Season five was when i started liking Spike as more than a possible big bad, and started looking at him as one of those scoobies he so poo-poo's.

The whole face sucking scene is not my favorite, as it made no sense as to romantic build up. It did get the ball rolling for latter things and surprised me though!

I think I reacted by losing the vast majority of my breakfast via vomiting. I'm sorry, but the Spuffy relationship always reminded me of those creepy women who fall in love with serial killers and mary them in prison...

*laughs* You're so mean. Bangel makes me feel the same way you feel about Spuffy, haha.
i was like oh my god is this really happening buffy and spike....

then spike wakes up and i just laughed and thought how genius that moment had been becuase how real you think it is till he wakes up

Oh my...I've gotten everyone I know into the show. Even my boyfriend likes it (although, he prefers Angel and Firefly). My best friend, Johnny, an avid Firefly fan, still says Buffy is "not as good"...we argue often about it! lol
