Serious Complaint!!!

Cordy_Chase advised me to steal money from people, i thought you where allowed to do it, so i did it and then they took 50 karma points of me, and i only had 12 even magui only has 20+, im never even going to get even now. I dont mind the money its just that and no one told me i would have to deal with these sort of consequences is there anything i can do to reverse ill pay the person i tried to steal from all my money if i have to do, seriously this really upset me i've been working hard trying to get karma points for ages and now im screwed its made me feel like giving up, is there anything i can do, can you let me off or punish me in some other way just this once because i didnt know that anything like this could happen and its completely unfair

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that's just how it is. If you weren't clear on how it worked you should have asked before you did it. Though as I have said previously I know as much about how it works as you do - it did not come with instructions.

I don't think it removes karma from you, but store points, though I am checking on this.

Please don't drag my name into this issue. You should have researched the function before you used it, asking around of other members about it if an actual FAQ was not yet posted on the feature. I'm quite mad that you've included my name as being solely responsible for your "loss" in your signature. It is just a message board, we come here to discuss Buffy/Angel and related things of our interests for FUN. Nobody doubts your reputation just because you attempted to steal points, its all part of the new feature which is basically just a game of investing and gaining cool new features for being active and insightful members of this board.

Theres no reason to make such a big deal, but think of it in a different way.

In the real world, if someone advises you to steal and you get caught, the authorities aren't going to reimburse or forgive just because you were given advice. You did it on your own time, plus as stated before, some have gotten away with the theift. Its a game of chance, kinda like betting. You win some, you lose some

Yeah,well,more like had. I lost 75 points of Karma,my jewel is red too.Don't worry hon😉.It's not a big deal😛.
You don't have to leave because of that.
We all know you have good rep.When you steal and fail,the jewel turns red,when you get bad rep from other members the jewel turns black.It's not the same. You don't have bad rep. I don't think you should leave. Anyway,I don't think you have to get 50 points to have the green jewel again (I hope!,cuz I lost 75 lol😛).
This feature is just for fun,not to make people feel bad...well,okay,loosing karma and points is dissapointing...but,not a big deal. C'mon,stay!. We all want ya here:: tu ::

People kind of should expect some kind of consequence..cause if there were none...everyone would go around stealing everyone else's points...and it would be completely...no pun intended...pointless....Once anyone got any points it would be stolen...then stolen back...and it could go back and forth...for well...a long long time. Some consequence must be expected so that not everyone tries this...So yea...it's dissapointing...but really pretty minor IMO...we know you...and your rep being negative doesn't change who you are...so don't worry about it....and don't blame others for it if you are angry....Cordy_Chase has no idea what would happen...she stated something about that people could steal...you went ahead and actually did it...but we don't care that you did...were not gonna think any less of you because of it...so we would like you to stick around....

As far as I know Faith/willowfan was banned..You can see it just under his/her gender and that means she/he can't post anymore here🙂 Hope that helps

Most likely noone but Buffy Summers and Faith will know for sure why she was banned, and most likely they won't tell you...they'll keep it confidential. If I was banned I wouldn't want everyone to be told what I did. Hmmm...I'm off topic...and I don't know what to say that's on topic...uhh...sorry :sad: Oh....

Yea...Stealing is bad...there are consequences for stealing. So if you try and you fail...expect the consequences.

He created a new account (to get his karma points back) , dunno if the Admins banned both accounts though...

He actually created two new accounts in order to reset his karma. We initially only banned the new one, but after he persisted we banned all of them. Then after the way he spoke to Faith on MSN, he will not be returning.

Thanks for clearing that issue up Buffy...I did not know the entire story...but after hearing that I feel he deserved to be banned. This place is supposed to be a fun place to come talk to other people about Buffy and Angel and Tru Calling. If something little like that made him angry, and he did what he did, it's just gonna create friction on the boards anyway. It's just kinda sad that he reacted that way to something like that...

Well, you know, he was upset (rightly or wrongly lol) so when he did it once our position was "just don't do it again" - we weren't going to ban him for that. But then he blatantly disregarded us and did it a second time. And still, I probably would have let him back after a couple days to cool off and a stern warning. But if you could have seen the language he used with Faith...without provocation...you would understand why he is not coming back. Because frankly I don't trust him not to get abusive with other members. We can take it, but I don't feel the need to subject the members to that kind of behavior.

We all appreciate it. However you are not expected to deal with that type of behaviour either. I learned that fairly quickly having worked in retail. You don't need to take it either.

We definitely appreciate it. It's good to know that you are trying to make the boards the best place possible. No one should have to take that kind of behavoir from anyone, not you or Faith either, and I thank you for making sure the other members here will not have to deal with that. It's what makes these boards one of the best to be a member on.

Just thought i'd add my 2p worth. As Buffy said with the first occurances we would have let them back as we don't just ban because we feel like it. He messaged me on IM to ask what had happened and when I explained all I got was abuse and insults, and I don't care who you are, I would never speak to people like that so I don't expect you to speak to me like that. There have been members here that have dealt with me over one issue or another and I have never treated them that way, and I still have daily civil contact with every one of those members. As no matter what happens I don't hold grudges about what was dealt with between us.

But in this case due to their conduct they will not be returning to the boards, there is only so much I am willing to put up with, this is not my real job, I work and I study and have other things to deal with as i'm sure you can understand.
