I think I run on a 7 day schedule and not a 24 hour one.
USUALLY, I like to go to bed about 2 or 3 am and get up around 11. Granted, this doesn't work well because the kids are too good at getting me up for one reason or another for school. Luckily, I can fall back asleep VERY quickly and I often wonder if I was ever really awake at all since it seems like a dream later.
But, I am TERRIBLE at going to sleep and sometimes I have to take sleeping pills. Many times I'll just lay there, watching crap on TV or thinking. I think WAY too much when I'm supposed to be sleeping. My medication helps a bit, but not enough.
Hubby can just look at something he can lay on and pass out. Drives me up the wall because I can't do that even when I'm totally exhausted.
On the weekends, though, I could sleep the whole time. Oddly, Spongebob seems to just knock me out cold. It's weird.
It also seems to run straight with what's on tv. When I have tons of things I want to watch, I'm too tired to move at night. When there is NOTHING on TV that I might even remotely want to see, I can't seem to sleep to save my soul.
I also need noise to sleep. If it's quiet, my brain certainly won't shut off. The TV at least kinda gives my head something to concentrate on (while facing the other way with my head under a pillow) so that my brain doesn't keep me up all night.
But, it doesn't seem to matter much how MUCH sleep I get, my body does NOT like being up much earlier than 10-11 am. I could go to sleep at 8 pm and unless there is a reason, my body will just NOT get up after a certain amount of time. I'll end up sleeping for 14 hours or more if I have to.
Right now, I have to get hubby at the airport at about midnight and although I SHOULD have tons of energy, I don't. I want to go to sleep, but I'm sure I'd sleep straight through the airport until tomorrow morning. It's nuts.
