I like the soothing music idea, Kindred. My sister asked me to download some rainforest-y, nature music this summer. And that's all we did to fall asleep to for the entire summer. Just left the computer on and the music was great.
I usually do the reading to fall asleep thing too. Of course it has to be something you'd otherwise never read. It works for me because I stay up really late anyway, so either way I'm tired. But one thing you can try, that might either help or make you even more awake is doing some sort of work out. Do a couple pushups to get yourself exhausted or maybe some crunches. Sometimes that makes me even more awake than I already am, but it's 50/50. And if that doesn't work, try sitting in a really uncomfortable chair for awhile before you usually hit the pillow. It makes it really relaxing when you finally lay down at bamm!, you're out. Definitely don't eat or drink to much before you go to bed, because a full stomach is going to keep you up; I always make that mistake. These are all just personal techniques and probably don't do anything for anybody else. I hope they help though.🙂
Oh, and Tara Maclay/Daydreamer... welcome back to the boards.😀
