Nope Spike is just trying to deliver the same types of harsh blows to Angel as he did Buffy in Harsh Light of Day. I don’t even think Spike himself believes that Buffy is a slut, he just wants to taunt Angel with the knowledge that she is moving on.
Yup. Just like when he told Robin his mom never loved him. It’s the cruelest thing he could have said but it doesn’t take a mastermind to figure out what to say. Does Spike himself believe that? Does he believe that Buffy herself doesn’t love Dawn because she’s the slayer or did he just say what would hurt the most? Most of Spike's "knowing" people is more knowing how to hurt them, like any good predator.
No, season 1 of Angel in the episode where Oz brings Angel the Gem of Amara I think.I didn't even remember Spike said that. Was that in S5 of Angel?
Ok that seems more reasonable. Spike was still kind of villain-ish at that point in the story. I'd have been surprised had he said that about Buffy post-relationship and post-soul.No, season 1 of Angel in the episode where Oz brings Angel the Gem of Amara I think.
He wasn't kind of villain-ish, he was straight up mega evil. He recruited a pedophile vampire to torture Angel in that episode.Ok that seems more reasonable. And, yea, that was definitely just to try and annoy Angel.
As for OP, no Buffy is not a slut. That's insane.
She has sex with Angel, Parker, Riley, and Spike in the entire seven year run of the show. I knew girls in high school that would call that a slow week.
No way! He was definitely projecting.... Spike is debatably the biggest slut in the whole show! 😆
S7 Spike alludes to the fact he'd rape some of his victims. That's obviously very different from committed relationships/casual flings though. At that point in the series, Spike only had sex with Drusilla, his immortal beloved, and Harmony, who seems to think she is in relationship. Again, promiscuity is relative, but when you are an immortal, amoral pretty boy vampire with the stink of humanity and the the libido of a 17 year old, that's pretty chase. We saw in season 7 that Spike has no trouble with picking up attractive women. So, unless he's whoring off screen, which I can't rule out, pretty chase.
Although, I kinda like the idea, as vampirism is a cursed existence, eternal promiscuity would quickly lose its luster, and the needy human inside them would eventually start craving actual intimacy, but the serial killer version of craving intimacy, which vampires would be incapable of. Eventually, the only joy would be from drinking, every thing else would be as ash.
Did you ever watch True Blood, Alpha?I agree, Spike has probably raped women before.
(Although, vampires have like a dozen ways to enthrall someone that seem more interesting than rape. I don't know why they would even bother.)
I agree that Spike is enthralled by her, but as vamps lacking morals I can imagine Spike probably sought his pleasures elsewhere. Not initially, but perhaps after finding Angelus and Dru together he realised he didn't have to remain dedicated physically to Dru.I don't find him him having "relations" outside of Dru to be outside the scope of possibility, it's just the way it's protrayed, he is enthralled by Dru, while Dru, aside from brief moments of lucidity, has the mind of an infant and can only grasp people as objects.

Vampires in that world did use thrall - they referred to it as a 'glamour'. Kinda wish they had made use of it in BTVS - or merely discussed it.
