I check Spuffy Realm. It's actually my least favourite of the Spuffy archives, though. I find the layout really non user-friendly. I like Elysian Fields the best, I think. But whilst I do check all the Spuffy archives regularly, it's rare that a long fic is posted completed in its entirety. I prefer long, completed fics lol.

And I only go to fanfiction.net if I'm recommended something there. 😉

Me too. I asked for ppl to recommend me long, well-written fics in a thread on the Spuffy Realm. The layout there is kinda odd. There's one site whose layout I really dislike, but I can't remember which one it is.

Elysian Fields is probably my favourite too. It's where I read the majority of Forward to Times Past. 🙂

The majority? Does that mean you didn't finish it? The completed version is on LJ.

ETA: Actually my preference for long, completed fics is part of what's driving me to finish my current fic completely before starting to post it. I want to be able to say at the beginning that yes, this is finished, it's however many chapters long and I'll be posting regularly. I think that being reliable with posting inspires trust in the readers and makes them more likely to start reading the fic in the first place.

I am loving Seasonal Spuffy! I don't really have an lj (well, I have one to look at fics but I don't post anything), so I mostly lurk. Hehe. Everyone is SO talented though!

^ This is true. But very enjoyable crack. 😀 It's hilarious and sweet (ack, no pun intended) and the cliffhanger ending at the moment is well, kind of great. I'm constantly refreshing for the rest of the fic to be put up! Those last two chapters...🙂

But Emily - I definitely recommend just browsing back through the community. There's so much excellent fic, art and other Spuffy-related creativity that you could have something to read/look at for weeks. 🙂

Thank you! I had a fic to put up as well, but I wasn't entirely happy with it, so I'm going to post it on the free-for-all day (next Monday).

Really? SR is my favorite by far and EF is probably my least favorite. (Other than fanfiction.net)

Yeah. I find all the layouts really difficult to read on and if I do read there, I have to load it in the printable view, which strips all the site's formatting. There's also loads of script problems that frequently crash my browser when I read at SR. Don't get me wrong, I like the site and Pari's a sweetheart... I just prefer to read elsewhere if possible.

Ohh, it's never crashed for me. Was just curious aout why you don't like it. If a site crashed my browser I wouldn't be too fond of it either I suppose lol. Whenever I read there, I just click 'Story' and it goes to a huge white page with the enire thing that way I don't have to keep clicking through chapters.

I just can't help it lol. It's so annoying to use and I've never ever seen a site that was so populated with bad authors. Also, they don't have a minimum word count, so I'll go into a story and it'll have 2 paragraphs per chapter. Ughh, it kills me.

I hate Fanfiction.net, too. I prefer to read fics on LJ, Bloodshedverse, or on The Spuffy Realm.
 
I post at my own site, EF, and LJ. I only have a couple of stories going at SR. My site and EF are both efiction so I'm used to that format. EF is relatively safe, but SR gives me viruses sometimes. I have to really watch going there, but the chatbox is on a different host so it is okay.

Fic recs... hmmm... I didn't read through all the recs, but if someone didn't mention Niamh's Origins series, they really should have. I love to reread that one at least once a year.

I think I read more Harry Potter than Spuffy these days, but only because I've been in the Spuffy fandom nearly six years. That and I'm busy writing all the time.
